"The price quoted by the Salesman, Dylan, was a fair price; however, the labor performed did not meet that fair price. Some minor problems have occurred that I will repair myself. I was supposed to have broken blocks in the foundation of my porch replaced/repaired. Old broken pieces of stone/blocks were used and covered up by stucco. A crack has emerged and the place of repair is indented. The hole dug to repair my crack in the foundation has sunk six inches at the first rainfall, while this is to expected as the soil settles after being dug up, my wife voiced concerns that the dirt/clay was not properly filled in. The sealant in my garage started to crack along one wall because the epoxy solution was not mixed properly. After voicing concerns, I was told, I would be contacted after they got back to town. This seems to be a great company and I hope this was only a hiccup."

"Josh and the team did a really big job for us last week. They encapsulated our large crawl space, treated wood for mold, installed a sump pump, filled multiple cracks in our foundation, added two drainage systems to the exterior of our house and even cleared out the original drainage pipes in our retaining wall. It was a lot of work and I couldn't be happier that we decided to go with General Waterproofing. We had several quotes from other companies, some much more expensive, but Josh was the only one that actually discovered WHY we had water in our crawlspace and created a plan to tackle that problem. Going with the company that wasn't just putting a bandaid on the situation and was reasonably priced was no-brainer. Also, a number of the other companies were really aggressive and fear-mongered- I did not get that feeling from General Waterproofing at all. They were very upfront about the issues and did not try to upsell me on unnecessary systems or upgrades. The crew was polite"

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in White-Mills, KY

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
