"Bill Martins Flood Crew is excellent. In December, just before Christmas, my finished rec room flooded when my sump pump failed--soaked carpet, cardboard boxes, books, furniture with sewer water. I thought I would not find anybody this time of year to help me. But I called Bill Martins from Flood Crew, and he came out right away. He looked at the basement and gave me an analysis of my damage on the spot. He was wonderful. He took care of getting detailed estimates to my insurance company and then made arrangements for me with all the needed specialists. First, I wouldn't have known where to start, and second I wouldn't have had a clue whom to call. I needed crews to remove the carpet, cut out drywall all around to dry it out, check for mold, test for asbestos, and then remove everything. And, of course, fixing the sump pump, installing flooring, putting everything back, and lots of details in between. All of this obviously can't be completed in a week or even a month. My work was not the only project that busy contractors had. My situation was far more complicated than I thought it would be. Ultimately, it took four months, which I thought was very reasonable. And the result is so beautiful--no corners cut, no putting up with mediocre results, all this for the same price and time or less than others quote. Be patient. Be flexible. Talk with Bill about the results you want. Listen to suggestions. Your results will be beyond anything you thought was possible."

"The biggest problem I had with this company was responsiveness before the work was done. After calling them to use the coupon, it took a while to get them to my house to do an estimate. Then it took over a week to actually get the estimate so I could schedule the work. And then two weeks to get on the schedule.
With that said, the person they sent did a FANTASTIC job. I had a section of rotted wood above my entry door and it had been a problem area for years apparently. The last time I had to have the wood replaced the previous owners had not told me about termite damage behind this section. Anyway, this time around the service person said that we would fix it right.
He scraped out all of the damaged wood and replaced the damaged section with a PVC-based solution so I'll never have to worry about it rotting again. All I have to do is keep it painted and caulked.
I'm VERY happy. It looks great. He was very pleasant, friendly, professional. He explained everything to me and he worked until he finished.
The likelihood that the 3 hours included in the coupon will cover your work when there is rot involved --it took 6 hours and the materials cost $160.00. With that said, it could've ended up costing a lot more so I definitely recommend taking advantage of the coupon deal if they offer it again.

"It went fine. I can tell the company is busy because it was hard to get a hold of anyone for a couple days. I made an appointmentt and due to an appointment before mine running over, I had to reschedule because I had somewhere to be and couldn't wait. Anthony was willing to come that day but due to my schedule I couldn't wait around any longer. He showed great service recovery by coming out the next morning and offering a discount on the dryer cleaning as well. I wasn't at the house when he and his crew showed up, but my sister was. She said they seemed to know what they were doing, worked efficiently and were conscious not to let my cats out.
I have never gotten my vents cleaned before and didn't really know what to expect. I don't know what the sanitation included or what really went on in the vents. I do feel a better air flow/freshness but not sure that I would ever pay full price for this type of service. The discount offer was a great price though and I'm glad I had the service done.

"Simply terrific. I can't say enough about working with MakHome Renovations... they have been amazing to work with and I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anybody looking to do remodeling work on their home. I would give them 6 stars if I could. The scope of the work for me is that I'm getting 2 bathroom remodels done. Both bathrooms were taken down all the way to the studs. I'm going to post photos when I get a chance to. Right from the start, I found Art tremendously responsive and great at working with over the phone, text, and e-mails. Meeting with Art and his father, they were always on time and easy to communicate. Without exception, there was no contractor more responsive than Art that I've contacted. Art and his father could not be easier to work with. Throughout the process, they were very willing to work with me on adjustments to the remodeling plans. Believe me, once you rip out the sheetrock and look behind the walls, you'll have to make adjustments. They do not complain and work hard to make sure you are satisfied. Also all of their individual workers were responsible, trustworthy, and easy to deal with. Art works very hard to accommodate your schedule. If you need him to buy things, he'll take care of it. If you can only meet him in the mornings or the evenings, he'll work around your schedule. Lastly, the quality of work was great. they have a very great eye for making sure all the tile is laid down correctly, were meticulous about the installation of hardware, vanities, mirrors, lights, etc... Due to a minor water leak a section of drywall about 8' x 2' had been cut out. The trim in this area and on the other side of the hall plus a closet had to be placed as well. The drywall and trim had been removed due to a small amount of mold from the water leak.  I called George's painting due to all the great reviews here on Angie's list.  I received an estimate on this work and in addition I asked for an estimate on some painting.  I thought the estimate was very fair. George was extremely professional and even came to look at what the job entailed late on a Friday evening as he was returning from other jobs on his way back to his office. This was absolutely fine with me as I had no plans to go anywhere.  George sent my estimate first thing Monday morning.

In the end I used George's only for the drywall and trim work. The job was easily scheduled and the 2 man crew did an outstanding job. I couldn't even tell there had been any damage. The trim work was outstanding as well with nice miter cuts. It lined up well with the existing molding where the miter cuts met.  It only took them approximately 4 hours to do the job.  I plan to call George's in the future for outside painting of my house.

"Brian and his crew removed the damaged drywall, remediated the mold on the first day. The next day Brian and a full crew came back and removed the siding and insulation (working from the outside in so as not to remove any more drywall on the inside), and replaced with new material as well as adding new studs to the damaged studs. Included in the work, Brian installed new gutters. While the outside work was being completed, the interior drywall was replaced. I was very pleased with all of the work, as well as the cost. I will definitely call on Brian for future jobs."

"How did it go?  Wonderful!  I bought 40 hours of handyman labor, plus 2 hours of project management consult.   They spread the work out over three days, one person on the first day and two people the next two days, and I got more than I bargained for.  In addition, Kargmans was willing to reschedule the last two days when the weather was against doing the exterior work.  These guys are focused on giving the customer value.  The workers sent were focused on giving me service, and pointed out on the first day that if I ran and got the paint they could also fully paint a basement room that was in need of a fresh coat within the hours that I bought above and beyond what I originally wanted done.  So all the work I originally planned to have done got done, plus a full room painting with trim!  I absolutely received my money's worth.
On each day, the workers arrived, pulled into my driveway, and within a few minutes were at work.  They pulled the rotting columns from my porch and replaced them with the new columns I had picked up.  Primed and painted them, and then repainted all the trim around my front door including removing flaking paint and sanding where needed.  And repainted the front door as well.  Inside, the ceiling stains were primed with an oil based primer to prevent bleed through, repainted, and the damaged area repaired.  They helped me clear the basement room and then prepped, repaired, and painted the ceiling, walls, and trim.  These guys never stopped moving the whole time they were in my home.  They pulled my shutters off the house, primed them, repainted them and then put them back up.  Oh, and they made it a point to clean up.  
In 40 hours, a lot of work was done.  I did ask Kargmans if they wanted to pick up supplies during the consult (another company insisted on doing this so I thought I would ask), and they explained to me that although they could do that, if I could get the supplies then I was not wasting their workers talent running to Home Depot or Lowes.  This is a credit to the company, they are more interested in giving their customer value for the dollar than anything else.  I am planning to use this company in the future."
