"The overall install went well except for a small flaw. The small hole drilled in the PVC pipe splashes wtr out of the sump when pmp is activated. I now have to try to cover a portion of the sump to eliminate the issue."

"The men did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. No mess left behind. The son communicated when things had to be done differently than expected. They were friendly and efficient. Gave a B for professionalism because they didn't say who they were when they arrived at the house. That is the norm for any repair service."

"Scott from Northern Mechanicals came out promptly when called and after  thoroughly looking at our set-up he provided a quote for the removal and replacement of two water heaters.  He came promptly on the installation date and removed and replaced both water heaters with the greatest attention to detail I've seen from a plumber.  He labelled everything I might need to know as a homeowner if I needed to shut off the water, showed me how to adjust the heat, showed me where the serial number labels and other info was, etc.  He explained how the heaters worked and he even had the warrenty cards completed for me to mail.  He made sure everything was clean before he left and he made sure I knew what to look for that might require him to come out again (leaks). Working with Scott was a completely positive experience and was very reasonable price-wise.  I recommend him without reservation - he's professional, very knowledgeable, sensitive to costs and very respectful of the home environment.  Excellent ! <br />"

"We have a unique situation since we have finished ceiling and the wiring for the a/c had to be replaced which ran across the whole basement. Most companies that quoted us had no idea how to handle this problem. We originally went with one company who sent their installers out without telling them and when the installers saw the situation said they had no idea how do it unless they removed one wall and the entire ceiling. BUT, the Thiele company came up with a great solution. We have to point out where they cut into our ceiling. They had the best possible solution. The furnace they chose we thought would be too small but seems to be handling the house just fine. Since it is not time for a/c yet we can't speak to how that works but if it is not good, will let you know. One problem, is the humidifier, it doesn't seem to handle the house but I will speak with them when they come to prepare the a/c for use. Will recommend to anyone for heating and a/c needs. <br />"

"<p> Don,t know yet. Time will tell. It very occasionally would not start.(three times in last year) but the next day it would start normally. They could not identify any problem . </p> <p> Cost me $200 the first time, including towing, to tell me there was nothing wrong. The next time it happened they still could</p> <p> find no cause but recommended this part as MAYBE causing it so I agreed to have them install it. I didn't think it would be so much, but I do believe they are honest and respectable and have used them many times in the past and always been happy with their work. </p> <p> My only negative would be that they are quite pricey. But you get what you pay for.</p> <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Whitewater, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
