"Expo Home did a fantastic job from beginning to end. Maurice our sales representative came to our home and very thoughtfully walked us through everything. He helped us to make a difficult and expensive purchase decision. The contract was signed Friday evening and the work was completed by Thursday afternoon. The installers Ricardo and Omar arrived promptly on install day morning at 8am and worked quickly to do all the work by 4pm. They respected our home and kept work areas clean with tarps. Omar especially kept me informed of the progress of the project throughout the day. Ricardo as the lead installer was very skilled in performing the work and knowledgeable about all the details of the project. I would highly recommend Expo Home for your next tub to walk in shower conversion. Thanks to everyone at Expo Home team and satisfied to be member of their family."

Fencing installation and repair. Demolition and haul off. We guarantee your satisfaction and we won’t leave until the job is done right. "Great. I was there much of the time. Questions were asked and answered both ways. Business owner was critical of boards chosen, above what I expected. I think built as good or better than if it was his own place. They were joking and laughing, having a good time, not just making a buck."

Family owned and operated since 1961. Largest and oldest siding and window company in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with offices in Wichita Falls, TX and Lawton, OK.

"This job was completed in August of 2016. Initially the job took over a month for the employee to complete. One piece of drip edge was missing and CoolTemp would not get us the piece. We had to purchase it from another vendor even though contract read they would supply all materials. Gutters and drip edge were incorrectly installed, but we didn’t notice it until we began getting rain in this west Texas town. Cool Temp pressured us to sign off on the job while gutters were still being installed, and we did not get to inspect finished product....our fault for letting them pressure us, but we thought they were an honest, trustworthy company and would stand by their product and installation. There is actually no problem with the product, just the installation. Every time it rains the water pours between the gutter and the fascia getting me wet as I walk out of my door. After having it inspected, it was found that the drip edge raises the shingles up approximately 1 inch above the roof allowing the water to run back onto the roof and behind the gutter damaging the decking. After repeated calls to CoolTemp Siding, we have been met with repeated replies that we signed off on it so it must be ok. Now, we will have to have the gutters taken down and reinstalled by another contractor. Please take this as your warning to be cautious of who you do business with and make sure the job is inspected by an independent contractor before you sign off on it. Carpentry framing installations FAQs

Professional contractors complete basement framing in three to five days, depending on the size and complexity of your space. Projects with simple, open layouts progress faster than those with multiple rooms and corners. DIY framers should expect the job to take significantly longer, potentially seven to 10 days or more, depending on experience level and available time. The timeline doesn't include other aspects of basement finishing like drywall installation, electrical work, or finishing touches, which extend the overall renovation schedule.

Most municipalities require building permits for basement framing projects. These permits cost between $1,200 and $2,000, ensuring your renovation meets local building codes for safety and structural integrity. Working without proper permits can result in penalties, forced removal of completed work, and complications when selling your home. Your local building department can provide specific information about permit requirements, inspection schedules, and any special considerations for basement renovations in your area.

For basement framing, use pressure-treated lumber for bottom plates (the horizontal boards that contact concrete floors) to prevent moisture damage and rot. Standard kiln-dried lumber is suitable for wall studs and top plates that don't directly contact concrete surfaces. The most common lumber dimension for basement wall framing is two-by-four, though some situations may call for two-by-six lumber to accommodate thicker insulation. Always check local building codes, as some jurisdictions have specific requirements for basement framing materials.

You can install drywall after framing is complete and inspected, but several important steps should happen first. Ensure any electrical, plumbing, or HVAC rough-ins are completed and inspected before closing up walls. Installing insulation between studs is highly recommended for temperature control and moisture management. Drywall installation adds an average of $3 to $4 per linear foot to your project, with painting costing an additional $2 to $6 per square foot. Address any moisture concerns before enclosing walls to prevent future damage and mold issues.
