"I recently had my shingle roof replaced and I?m very happy with the results. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job efficiently. The quality of the work is excellent, and the new roof looks great. They kept the work area clean and communicated well throughout the process. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement."

"Our project was the residing of a large two story duplex that has been in our family since 1915 that was carrying siding from 1985. Everyone at Alliance was a pleasure to deal with from Keith, our salesman to Sergie the lead installer on our job."

"The sewer line was very deep and hard to find.  The new sidewalk had to be replaced due to subsidence - a second sidewalk was poured after a long winter.  Despite all of the difficulties with the job, AJ kept at things until everything was completed to my total satisfaction.
He's a good guy.  He treats his customers with respect and he honors his word.   Also, the guys he uses to pour the sidewalk are easy to work with and detail oriented.

"They did an excellent job. They initially misquoted the price on the low side but the president said they would go ahead and honor that price. They were very responsive to anything needed before and after the job was done. They stand behind their work and in my opinion are an exceptional company. I would highly recommend them and I would definitely use them again."

"Ethan drew up a design of shrubs and plants that was  interesting, shade tolerant and included river stones arranged to give the feeling of a river bed.  He showed up on time and he and his crew were very respectful of our property during the installation.  Ethan spent a lot of time advising me on how to care for everything before he left and has been available to answer questions more than a year later.
Ethan guarantees his plants for a year after planting and made good on that for a couple of shrubs that did not survive the winter.
Starting with some serious limitations, Ethan was able to create a beautiful space that gives us much enjoyment and  is easy for us to maintain.

"D&D called to have our chimney swept, and we said yes if they could also look at our fireplace insert which needs some maintenance.  When the tech arrived he didn't have any experience with wood stoves or inserts.
It is tough to know how clean the liner is, but I took apart the insert to replace gaskets and the connection from the insert to the liner was not very cleaned so I used a wire brusk to remove the creosote.

"I have been a homeowner since 1991, and this 1961 4BR colonial is home #6. I am an engineer and always leave the homes I've owned - especially the systems - better than I found them. We have made many home improvements, including finishing the basement and expanding the heating system from 1 to 4 zones. The heating system and flue is serviced annually. After a long stretch of cold weather, we noticed a smell of oil in the basement. Certified Chimney Inspections ([*** Link removed ***] responded promptly and professionally to my request for emergency service. Around sunset on the first day, they diagnosed that part of one of the clay chimney liners had collapsed, partially blocking the oil flue. On the second day, they arrived shortly after sunrise and worked 10+ hours to install a metal chimney liner and got us up and running by sunset. Both the on-site and office crews were incredibly helpful, respectful, and responsive, even providing original photos for a my homeowner's insurance. I would highly recommend Certified Chimney Inspections to anyone with routine or emergency chimney or masonry issues."

The first step involved trenching the inside perimeter of the basement slab, which was relatively new and required substantial work with jack hammers (very dusty and noisy). The trench was about 18" wide and 18" deep to accommodate the perforated pipe and the surrounding material consisting of hard plastic "peanuts" to facilitate drainage.  Workmen also installed corrugated plastic on the vertical wall surfaces so that should any water enter higher up on the wall it would be directed into the trench. The trench was then covered with a clear plastic vapor barrier, after which cement was floated over everything and leveled with the rest of the slab.  NOTE: the trenching is very destructive and the workmen will remove any finished elements - baseboard, sheetrock, framing, carpet etc. - to access the walls and foundation. Be prepared to budget repair work on any already-finished areas once the work is done.

The team was invariably punctual, thoughtful and kept the work area clean. Charlie stopped by regularly to ensure the project was moving along as planned and helpful throughout. When finished, the crew cleaned up well and left the site in good shape, although it took some time finally to get rid of the dust.  My only disappointment was that the backup batteries were left in their cases on the floor, when it seemed that they should have been up on a shelf away from harm.

The good news is that our basement has not seen any moisture since the system was installed.  We've experienced some bad storms combining rain over frozen ground and snow and water clearly was getting through the foundation.  We saw the pumps moving significant amounts of water out of the house and the system has been completely reliable.  Finally we were able to finish the basement as we'd hoped because we're confident the drainage system is protecting the investment.

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Williamsburg, MA

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
