"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."

"All workers were respectful and polite. They finished work in less time than I thought and cleaned up any mess which I appreciated. Tub and wall look beautiful. They explained how to use it. Customer service was great starting with sales rep and throughout installation. They removed the big whirlpool tub and installed a walk-in tub."

"Installation couldn’t have been faster or smoother. Not only were they affordable but they picked up the product for me and had it installed with in hours. Total service was cheaper than what Lumber Liquidators was going to charge me just for carpet removal and product delivery. The team was very respectful of my home and did great work."

"Dave and his whole team are a pleasure to work with. Dave is full of ideas and has a great sense of humor - he'll try to sell you on his grand plans, but he's totally willing to work with whatever plan/budget you have in mind. His was one of 3-4 estimates we got, and he was right in the middle and most willing to work with us to reduce costs. He also provided multiple drawings and plans for the space at no cost (many contractors will charge you for that kind of consulting). We worked with at least 4-5 guys on his team (carpentry, plumbing, tiling, drywall/painting), and all of them were really great, easy, punctual, and trustworthy guys. The bathroom space is beautiful! It's a unique project because the room is rather small and has a sloped ceiling/wall on one side. The guys built a shower with a bench on the sloped side, installed a toilet and double sink, tiled the floor, created a window seat to cover the radiator, and built open-faced shelves in one niche. Their work included opening up the second floor WC to connect the plumbing, and even though they found some cracks and holes in the 110 year old pipes, they replaced them and retiled, drywalled, and painted that WC also at no extra charge. We've already had Dave come back to take a look at a couple other projects we have in mind, and we've given his name to many of our friends. I'd highly recommend him for almost any project you want to tackle.

"Had to replace an ancient Jenn-Air drop-in range with downdraft (installed in 1979) with a new LG duel fuel gas stove/electric oven range slide in. Knew it would take some work. Randy and Dan were great during the installation. Tim was very responsive."

"Tom did a great job installing a replacement microwave and trim kit into a custom built cabinet, replacing a really old bathroom exhaust fan and replacing 8 electrical outlet boxes from 2 prong to 3 prong outlets. He was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and worked efficiently!! It was nice to have it all taken care of in a day."

"In performing my due diligence, I contacted---or attempted to contact---about 5 countertop vendors. Some wanted me to come in and talk with them - they did NOT want to come out to see me any my area of work, which was my kitchen that I was totally remodeling.. Nathan was quick to call me back and set up an appointment - around my schedule. He was prompt and brought actual samples. We talked about countertop options....I had wanted quartz, but we ended up with granite and am I glad we did. The next step was to go and pick out the granite. I took a colleague from work and we had a blast! The lady there was extremely helpful - lot of good choices, but with the floor sample and color scheme I had with me, I was able to choose a slab that had a unique pattern (later became part of my 3 x 5 island). A man came out and laser measured everything.....I was present and was concerned that I hadn't had all my appliances installed yet. No problem. On the day of the actual install, Nathan and crew took less than a day to remove the old C-Top, install a new garbage disposal (I had bought), a new granite sink and the new C-Top and Island (I had built). I came in from work to review and pay the balance. When I walked around the corner, I was totally blown away....WOW---It was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! It was better than I expected!!!!We settled up and I complimented him for his attention to detail, cleanup and overall positive attitude. I would highly recommend Nathan for his high quality work. It is hard to find an artisan these days who not only responds, but takes great pride in his work. Thank you Nathan! Randy"

FAQs for walk in tub installation and replacement projects in Williamsburg, OH

Because Medicare classifies walk-in tubs as non-durable medical equipment, it generally won’t pick up the tab. Medicaid can help if a doctor certifies that the tub is medically necessary, but rules change by state. Call your plan early, ask which forms you need, and keep any prescriptions or letters on file to improve your odds of reimbursement.

A walk-in bathtub’s fill and drain times hinge on your home’s water pressure and the tub’s hardware. Most models with a fast-fill faucet need about six to eight minutes to fill and two to three minutes to drain; larger basins or standard drains can tack on an extra 10 minutes. Stay seated until the water is completely gone so you don’t swing the door open on a full tub’s worth of water.

A walk-in bathtub holds 50 gallons of water, and its design supports capacities that range from 40 to 80 gallons, depending on the product. In contrast, a standard bathtub holds 25 to 45 gallons. This capacity is determined by the fixed design of the tub and its construction materials. Homeowners should review the detailed product specifications to confirm the exact volume available for use during bath time.

Walk-in tubs are tax-deductible when the purchase qualifies as a necessary medical expense and meets the IRS criteria. Caregivers who install a walk-in tub also qualify for the Dependent Care Tax Credit under specific conditions. Homeowners must verify these requirements with the IRS and consult a tax professional, as state and program guidelines enforce strict documentation standards for such deductions.
