Quote was quite a bit higher than I expected, but I learned from neighbors that chain link fence costs for small jobs are quite high (based on their experience with quotes for small chain link fence jobs). Very professional, high quality work. They were able to fit me in pretty quickly (just a couple weeks compared to 6-12 weeks with other companies). Highly recommend."

"Time consuming but worth it. They understood Ann Arbor's local ordinances better than any other bidder, and were the most competitive bidder (if not by much, but they still were the lowest bidder). They made multiple trips to ensure the estimate was accurate and took pains to find a fencing solution that would comply with Ann Arbor's convoluted rules, yet be both functional and aesthetic. Multiple install trips as well, to deal with tree removal issues and weather problems. Final installed fence is beautiful. We likely will follow up because the locks installed on the two gates installed are proving difficult to manage, but I fully expect this issue to be resolved satisfactorily. (We have not yet contacted them about this, so it's not their fault that this issue remains unresolved - it's been a complicated year for us and, having worked with them, we trust in their ability to resolve this concern later. If we are wrong about this, we'll follow up on our review.) We found Upright Fence through Angie's List, and it was a good recommendation. We would do it all again exactly as it happened if given the option. We are so relieved to have the old, collapsing wooden fence removed and a new, vinyl fence - properly installed along the lot boundaries. Our thanks to the Upright team...we can understand why they've been in business so long. Experience does indeed count for something."

"I was told that they are in Southwest Detroit and that I should look for someone in my own area (I'm 20-25 miles from there). It seems this is the way it goes with Angie's List. All the contractors are too busy or have very small service areas. I will probably go back to using other ways to find contractors, so I can find someone who is available to do the work."

"The salesperson was quick to respond to my request for an estimate, completed a detailed sketch of our current large deck, and emailed a quote quickly. However, our meeting was brief because he said he'd scheduled another estimate. In addition, I emailed him thanking him, but with more questions about the job and received NO response, hence no further action was taken on my part. I'm guessing (and I really am guessing here), he probably thought the initial quote would give me "sticker shock" (which it did...almost $58,000!) so he didn't need to pursue my business any further. On the other hand, I suppose I'm now convinced that for the next 20 years, I could replace any necessary cedar boards and have the deck power-washed/stained yearly for the cost of a new Trex deck."

"Novi fence came out and found the yard markers right away (where other fence companies couldn't locate) They supplied me with a quote and gave me an estimated time to start the fence. They contacted me about 1-2 weeks early to see if we were ready for our fence to be started. I eagerly said yes. They set posts on a Thursday and came back on Monday to finish the install. The even went above and beyond by repairing a chain link area that one of my dogs manages to squeeze through. <br /> Everyone was very nice, from the initial quote to the men that came out to install the fence. I would highly recommend them. <br />"
