"Escape pools have worked at several of my communities and not only do they service pools and maintain, they also can repair and replace pool heaters. The communication with the vendor is over a ten and they have been the best pool vendor that I've worked with since 2018. I will continue to use Escape on any new communities that arise and if I had a personal pool, I highly recommend them to take care of your pool. "

"I initially hired Mr.Handyman to investigate and fix a leak around my window. They told me on the phone based on the photos I provided that the estimate for the job will be about $775 to find and fix the source of the leak and replace the drywall. I believe they use predatory and deceitful practices to inflate the final pricing, as it ended up being far higher than original estimates. When their handyman showed up, the estimate changed to $1010. I was never verbally informed that any of these estimates did not include materials. After removing the drywall, the handyman never found the source of the leak. I had to drive out to the property to find and fix it myself. I then called the handyman to re-install the drywall after the issue was fixed. I was then given another invoice for $977, so now we are at a total $1433, of which they claim $371 is materials. They never found or fixed the actual issue as promised but still charged for the full job. I thought we were being overcharged, since the original estimate was for finding and fixing the actual source of the leak, which they never did. When I questioned the materials charge and asked for receipts, their manager told me he would not send me any receipts even though they have them in the system because "its not their protocol" and that they put an upcharge on materials. When I questioned how much % the upcharge is, or if they can provide actual pricing of the materials, he said “when you buy at Publix, you don't ask them how much they upcharge for your food". This makes no sense, as at the store I see the price before I buy something, so I can decide if I want to buy it. Mr.Handyman never provided me with pricing of materials upfront, they just sent me one final price at the end without a breakdown of materials purchased, which they can make up to be anything. This is highly unethical. If this is a cost-plus contract, they should be providing receipts."

"Entire process was well organized and Ben & his team took the time during design to help us pick features and elements that no only look great, but perform and add to the enjoyment of our pool and outdoor area. During design - we could see realtime changes made to the computer rendering and get a great look at how the finished product would turn out. During construction, our project manager kept us abreast of everything and the crew worked hard, were respectful to our property and family & completed the job within the communicated timeline. Dan was thoughtful, helpful and very responsive. John Martin and his teams managed a multifaceted executions and the end product is absolutely beautiful. I spoke in depth with 5 of the premier pool builders. None cared or earned the right for my business like Larsen. Definitely include them in your mix.
