"The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"I called Marc after another outfit “disappeared” on me before the work was complete. At the initial service call, Marc examined my malfunctioning dishwasher and showed/explained to me why the problem would continue to occur in the 15+ year old machine. He didn’t try to perform a repair that he knew wouldn’t work, and he gave me a break on the service call knowing that I had a big purchase on my horizons. Appreciating his honesty, responsiveness and friendliness, I called on Marc to do the installation once the new machine was purchased. The ~$423 I paid included two service calls, installation and removal of the old machine. As I told Marc, I hope not to see him again for a while, but I know who to call when the need arises. "We hired Joseph to install a new under-cabinet microwave that did not match the footprint of the old one, requiring some tile work. He did a great job and you can't tell that some serious rejiggering was required. He also did a great job replacing several old, single pane, oddly sized windows. Clearly the previous owners couldn't have been bothered to find non-factory size windows, but he sourced great replacements, did a beautiful job installing them promptly, dealt with supply chain issues with grace, and even included finishing touches we hadn't thought of, like installing a curtain rod and curtain for a shower window. The windows and microwave have been there a couple years now and are doing great!"
