"Kurt (Distinct Landscapes) performed an exception makeover to our property. We have owned our home for 20 years, with an eye on a landscape design to the house front - that pops. What we inherited were azaleas and christmas trees that continued to grow more expansive over the years. I provided Kurt with my budget and blessing to take the necessary design/purchase/installation steps necessary to dazzle. He did not disappoint! Kurt was a joy to work with, paying several visits to our property to discuss proposed layout and educate newcomers concerning the finer points of horticulture - in laymen's terms. He was extremely responsive to preferences and concerns and made several modifications of his own - before installation date. What a makeover - Korean Boxwoods, Dward Red Barberries, Goldmound Spireas, Nandina Domestica, Chery Laurels Knockout Roses, A Purple Crape Myrtle and Dragon Lady Holly species ... to name a few. Kurt did not overcrowd the design, but allowed sufficient spacing for future growth ... definitely planning for the longer range investment. With his selection, he also ensured more diverse colors over a greater portion of the calendar year. We're now the proud owners of a unique landscape that complements the house color/style much better. "They are very good. They cut the grass last Monday. We used them regularly. The approximate cost of service I think it was $43 a week. That's for the lawn timing and that's once a week when it is needed. The other thing they do is they fertilize the yard and seed it and then before they do that they spray the weeds and then just about a little less than a month ago they cleaned the yard, the leaves and twigs that are fallen and stuff and like that. We used them for everything yard work. It's kinda like a process then they do kind of everything and the sum result cut the lawn and things like that. They are very professional. They are always on time. I wish it cost a little less but I think that's the way it goes with lawn care. It's really a good job so pretty satisfied with everything. The quality of work is very good. They are very good because they have those blower things so the driveway is always clean. They do the edging and then driveway is always because they blow any grass away so it's always neat. I pay $43 a week whenever they cut the grass. Now, if we did find that they don't need to cut it, it's raining or whatever they have to charge for that so we will be charged and actually cut it. It does add up if you don't think it does but it does add up after the end of the month. They bill you monthly. Yes, I think this is our third season with them."

"trucks & crew arrived promptly as promised @ 7 AM - the owner surveyed the entire job one more time prior to starting - there was a concern regarding the possibility of rain so time was of the essence - the owner and crew approached the trees from my neighbors residence behind my house - they cleaned his yard thoroughly and set up their equipment and picked up any debris that was already present which might present safety issues for the crew - the owner then scaled up the first tree and began cutting & trimming lowering branches etc to the crew below who disposed of them efficiently and cleanly - the large silver maple took a considerable amount of time but was done well  (I would have preferred more be cut but it was explained that due to the age, size etc of the tree that was all Freestate could safely remove.) they then proceeded to the next tree a Bradford pear and proceeded to trim &  clear multiple branches finishing just as the rain started. again, i would have preferred ,more be cut but it was explained that this would not be beneficial for the tree. the access routes the crew took were cleaner than when they started, all debris removed without residue. i was impressed with the efficiency and the concern for safety for all concerned. the owner went out of his way to speak with both my neighbor and myself relative to all he intended to do. i would and have recommended him to my neighbors. i would add that i have an in-ground pool and there was not any additional debris on the cover as a result of the work that Freestate performed. i have contacted this company for another job."
