"Replaced a more than 20 year old gas forced air furnace and air conditioner with new Trane units. | |Initially, I am very pleased with the installation and the operation of the Trane equipment.  Bay Area Services did a very good job of adapting the new equipment to the existing duct work. The installation took less than a day, they removed all of the old equipment and explained the operation of the new unit. At my request they willingly returned to make a minor air flow adjustment and answered some additional questions that I had about the new equipment. Bay Area Services also submitted all of the paperwork for a rebate and an energy reward. |The rebate and reward checks were promptly mailed directly to me. |"

"My transmission failed and I took it to a dealer (first mistake) which <br /> wanted to charge me almost $5000 to have it repaired. Found SDR on <br /> Angie's list and figured I would give it a shot.... They towed my truck <br /> from the dealer to their shop within an hour about having it inspected <br /> by the dealer, repaired within 3 days and had it ready to go so that I <br /> could travel out of town the following weekend. My truck hasn't had any <br /> problems, has a warranty on the transmission, the people were helpful, <br /> straight forward, respectful and willing to help quickly. Also charged <br /> me a fair price - very happy with the service and the company. I would <br /> recommend SDR to my friends and family for future repairs! <br />"

"The sales people were knowledgeable about the different fireplace <br /> inserts that they carry. The installation was very good. The man who <br /> completed the installation reviewed the instructions with me, giving me <br /> tips and tricks. He explained how to best light the fire, what was ok to <br /> put into the fireplace, how to clean it and when maintenance parts <br /> should be updated. I've called and stopped in with questions or to buy <br /> maintenance parts and they either know what I'm talking about or have <br /> our records handy to give me the right advice. <br />"

"Follow up was awful. I called for a problem and got no response. This includes many, many texts, phone calls and a visit to his home and talked with his wife. Another provider even talked to him and told him to contact me. He still would not. My boiler was under warranty as well. It was absolutely disheartening. I gave him every chance to make it right. He never did. Other providers have said that people have complained that he does not get back to clients. I was so pleased with the work he did originally and I recommended him to several people. After this experience I can't in good faith recommend him. I am being kind here with no reason to be. If you need service in northern wisconsin then use someone else. <br />"

"I called the propane company to let them know we could smell propane frequently near the stove in the kitchen.  They said they would contact someone and they would be calling to set up a time to take a look at it.  Within 10 minutes I received a call from this company and the technician came out that same day.  He immediately found the leak and an additional leak that was considerable.  He quickly fixed the stove and also told me how to stop the squeaking of kitchen sink faucet without replacing the entire thing.  He was professional, efficient, and insured.  I will be calling him again when I have other home needs that arise. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Withee, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
