Customers say: True professional

"Mike was superb. The job required perseverance and Mike's never give up attitude paid off while working on my old house. The odyssey began when Mike tried to install the faucet I purchased. It did not fit. He went to a trade supple house in search of another that also did not fit. He was instrumental in getting the showroom to take the wrong one back, and recommended a helpful sales person who helped me buy an appropriate one. On the next visit we discovered that the holes were not drilled correctly, so the new faucet would not fit. Mike installed an inexpensive one for us to use until he could buy a special drill bit for cutting granite. Mike deftly enlarged the mounting hole, which was no small feat given the counter/sing/backsplash setup. He did so without damaging anything or creating a mess. He's also very personable and comfortable to be around and in the house. highly recommended."

"I had a lot of plumbing pipe work done and a water heater replaced by Jay. Jay has a very pleasant and patient personality to work with which is rare, and he was more than fair to excellent in terms of pricing, scheduling, taking a look at some other minor issues, and most importantly - end result. Thank you!"

"Tony Gideika is an excellent plumber. He went out of his way to check areas to be sure all was well, and what was not, he repaired. We had a new kitchen faucet replaced and 2 leaks associated with that also repaired. Very polite, friendly. Fast worker. I wholeheartedly recommend him and should we need a plumber again for something else, it will be him."

Small jobs welcome

"Easy to make appointment, communication is good and clear, received phone call prior to the technician showing up on time for the appointment. Jonathan, the technician, did a great job explaining things, providing quote up front, and replacing the faulty fixture. I do recommend Milltown, and will definitely consider using them again for my next plumbing need."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Woburn, MA

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
