"We had water leaking from our tankless water heater. The technician that came was professional and courteous and figured out the problem immediately and fixed it in less than 30 minutes with a short piece of PVC costing approximately $12. We were charged over $600 for less than 30 minutes of labor. We repeatedly asked for an itemized bill but were refused. After several requests for itemizations that were ignored, we were threatened with lawyer?s fees and a lien on our house if we did not pay."

"The "technician/salesman" Eric could not replace a simple furnace motor. He said he couldn't find the motor number, but instead tried to sell me a new furnace. I told him no so he left. I spent a few minutes in the internet and found a motor at Grainger and replaced it myself. Hoffman charged me $95 for what was in reality a sales call."
