"I hired Dan cut my lawn on a regular/weekly basis.  In the beginning he was good but as time passed he stopped showing up to cut the lawn.  At one point he did not call or show up for over 3 weeks.  I learned this was due to a health issues but as a professional company I would expect a call to let me know I should hire a back up provider during this time.  
When Dan did show up he did do a great job but I need my lawn looking good all summer, not just 1 week a month and looking like a jungle the rest of the time.  More recently I was billed for lawn cuttings that did not occur.
I recommend you check with Dan to see if you are on his regular cutting route before engaging.
