"Keith looked at the drain and said that there wasn't a vent on that drain and that the gurgling sound was air rushing past the trap. He said as long as there weren't any sewer gases getting into the house that it would be OK. And if sewer gases did start coming into the house we could just run a little bit of water into the trap. He also said that he could install an air admittance valve if I wanted to. I told him if it got any worse I might do that. Since he really didn't do any work, we settled on a lesser charge."
