"We ended up interviewing 8 siding companies and narrowed our choices to DH Construction and another company. Since my husband and I had differing opinions on who we needed to hire we invited the final two back out for a final discussion. After hearing the two proposals again, my husband and I felt like DH Construction was not going to rush through, would remove all the wood rot (others wanted to cover-up the rot on the fascia boards), and give us the quality workmanship that we both wanted. They uncovered termite damage at the garage, rot on a sil joist, and rot around our window, however, they always took the time to explain the problem, possible solutions and discussed the costs of replacing with us prior to proceeding. His team was very quick to respond to any concerns that we had and when we asked Brian to come out and discuss one of the repairs he was at our house at 7 am the next day so we could discuss it. He was quick to return any phone calls and always wanted to make sure as a customer we were satisfied with the outcome. His team was very flexible and completed additional work that we added on to the original quote such as replacing our soffits, covering our vented gables (due to a new vented roof), and painting our shed. All which he quickly agreed to complete without any hesitation. All of his crews that came to the house to work were fantastic, they are experts at their job and worked hard the whole time they were here.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> We have had several complements on the house since it was complete and my husband keeps stating that house is more structurally sound today than it was 17 years ago when he bought it.  <br /> <br /> We are more than happy with the quality and service that DH Construction provided. "A-One, Five Star, Outstanding, Excellent, those are the adjectives which come to mind when I think of Cary Reconstruction.   Although I have been involved with contractors in the building of two personal homes, and several remodeling projects, I had never had any prior experience with a fire loss. So at first the task seemed overwhelming.  However, my confidence was restored beginning with the first phone call made to Luke Wind, General Manager of the Apex location.  Although it was after normal business hours he immediately invited me to his office for a meeting. I knew that I would be entering a period of extensive travel and  was therefore very concerned that any company could meet my needs.  Luke  quickly explained that they had all of <br /> the resources and experience necessary,  and since he exuded such a high degree of confidence I signed with CRC.  That was one of the best decisions I ever made.  It was very obvious from the onset that Customer Service is a cornerstone of their organization. Whether I was speaking with Luke, their receptionist, any member of the recovery team, or Nate Mullins my Project Manager I always felt that they put my interests first. Soon after I had signed the contract, I received a short note from Chad Price, CRC Corporate General Manager.  He wanted to  let me know that if at any time I felt the need to chat with him that he was ready and willing to do so, and he even provided me with his direct line phone number. (I know that it was the right one because as the project was winding down I called him to thank him for the excellent work his team had done). Nate saw to it that the job was finished on time and within budget and that it completely met and in many cases exceeded my expectations.   I am quick to tell everyone that if they ever need recovery work of any type done the first group they should call is CRC"

"After receiving the report from a structural engineer, I began interviewing contractors to do the recommended repairs. The more contractors I interviewed the more questions and confusion I had. Who understood the core issues, could explain them to me, could push back against the structural engineer for clarifying data? Who could I trust? I turned to a trusted contractor who'd worked on a neighbor's house. He volunteered to review the proposals I'd received. (The repairs I needed were not in his line of work.) None of the proposals had the detail he'd expect. He recommended Andrew Roby Contractors. <br /> <br />My first call was a day or two before Christmas and I got a prompt response. Although away for the holiday, the representative worked with my deadline (and I with his vacation) and we scheduled an appointment for later that week. Throughout the project, I worked with with project manager Drew Devine. New in his career, Drew was professional, polite, articulate, motivated, attentive, thorough and persevering. He honored my many questions and sought answers. Still learning, he asked if he could bring a construction veteran to look at the house and consult. Ron joined him on a visit. His experience and unhurried ease put me at ease. Ron explained what could be explained and acknowledged what couldn't. With a careful choice of words he confirmed my concerns about the structural engineer's work. Ron's professionalism in acknowledging seemingly unprofessional behavior told me I was dealing with someone ethical. That spoke volumes. <br /> <br />The icing on the cake came a day or so later. At Drew's recommendation I called a different structural engineer, Marcel Papineau, to talk about having his company create working drawings. Marcel asked who had come to the house and what the issues were. I told him I was working with Drew Devine and he'd brought a seasoned construction guy named Ron to look over his shoulder. Marcel sounded puzzled, paused, then explained, "Joan, do you know who Ron is? He's president of the company." I like that neither Drew nor Ron traded on Ron's status but rather focused on his experience, which was what was needed. I like that Ron supported Drew as the lead in the contracting relationship. That's leadership. <br /> <br />Looking back, I realize how taxing I must have been with my ongoing questions and time-consuming interest in details. Yet Drew and his colleagues were unfailingly respectful and patient. Andrew Roby Co. is not inexpensive. The way I see it, I paid extra for fine construction results and pro-active communication in the process. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Work exceeded expectations! Price was very reasonable. They completed the job quickly and took great care to protect anything that was not to be painted (sidewalks, deck, shrubs). Communication throughout the process was outstanding. No details were left out - even painted the mailbox post to match the house trim color! "Excellent!, we had a list of 7 small tasks. Robert was all business and very professional. He solved several problems that had us puzzled. One issue, a sticking back door, we had a previous (unsatisfactory) handyman look at. He said to fix it the door would need to be removed, a lot of time consuming work. We didn’t have him tackle such a big project. After carefully evaluating problem Robert fixed it in minutes with 3-4 nails. I will be calling him again as needed and feel comfortable giving him an excellent review!!"
