"It did not go as expected. Although the staff is very friendly, professional, and punctual, the actual job did not go well. My toilet was leaking onto the subfloor, so within 15 minutes the plumber determined I needed a new pipe and he would not be able to reinstall my toilet until I fix the subfloor. I fixed the subfloor and called the plumbers back two days later. The office staff that took my call was wonderful and accommodating, and got a plumber out right away to reinstall my toilet. Here’s where the problem is: the first plumber who took the toilet out laid it on its back causing all of the seals in the tank to break. The first plumber also replaced my shut off valve, but placed it about an inch further out of the wall then it previously was. So when the second plumber came to reinstall my toilet, not only could the toilet not be put back up against the wall, but the tank was loose and leaking now and all the seals in the tank had to be replaced. In the end, I paid $700 for this project, which shouldn’t have been more than $350 in my opinion. And since the toilet sticks out so far from the wall the tank is still leaking as it must have been jostled in use. And the base of the toilet no longer lines up with the hole that was cut in the linoleum. It just looks awful and to be honest, I should’ve just had them replace the pipe and left it at that, but the first plumber left the sewer pipe sticking 8 inches up out of the floor and I wasn’t sure how far down to cut it to reinstall the toilet. It was just a mess."

"I hired this pro because he was honest about how difficult it is to deal with cutting tile around faucets in these old houses. He recommended cutting a big portion so the tile could be repaired if it broke but I would need a tile person to come in and fill in the tile. When he heard it was my only bathroom he figured that he could pull the dishwasher in the kitchen and do the installation of faucet and shower head from the back wall without disturbing any of the tile. Even though he was more expensive I appreciated his problem solving and who knows how expensive it would have been to deal with damaged tile that was impossible to match? I am pleased with the results. My only criticism is that it was discovered there had been a mouse infestation behind and beneath the dishwasher and he charged me a large sum to clean that up. I did it because I didn’t want to stop the project but it seemed like $350 was a lot to charge me for that."

"Our 75-year-old home had issues with the sewer backing up in the basement. We called Ducky Drains, Mike was the plumber who came to our house. In the initial house call, Mike determined there were collapsed pipes under the foundation. We were given an estimate to replace the original main plumbing stack, along with replacing the collapsed pipes below ground. This estimate was much cheaper than the other bids we received. The work was completed in a timely manner and for exactly the amount of the estimate. During the service, Mike kept us posted on the progress of our plumbing issues. Our storage items in the basement were protected from debris from the jackhammering which we appreciated. Upon completion of the work, the area was left very clean. "I called Mr. Rooter because I had called another Plumbing company to come out the night before and they were a no show.  They were extremely friendly over the phone.  I called at approx 8AM and said they'd be able to come out by 11AM.  They called at about 9:30 to say someone was available to come out now and I said that was perfect.  They arrived at 10AM.

Jason was the plumber who arrived and he was very very friendly and professional.  I told him the problem and we discussed pricing up front.  I had a coupon which he said they would definitely honor.  He immediately got to work.  He wore footies over his shoes while in the house.  He worked diligently and answered all of my questions.  After about an hour and being certain the line was clear he cleaned up, we took care of payment which was exactly what was discussed beforehand, and he was on his way.

A very pleasant and hassle free experience.  I will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter for the Franklin County area again for any plumbing needs and would recommend them to anyone needing this kind of work.
