"I had a skunk living under my shed, that was constantly spraying. After it sprayed my dog, I decided to contact Critter Control to have it professionally removed. Critter Control was the only flat-rate animal removal option; other estimates had a per animal removal fee. I was unsure of how many skunks may be living under my shed, and had also recently seen a opossum and raccoon. This worked out to be the best option because they caught TWO skunks and TWO opossums! Critter Control was fantastic throughout every step of the process! Mike provided a free consultation that included animal removal information and necessary repairs to the shed. The communication of monitoring and animal capture was excellent - I really appreciated the daily email report updates, with before and afters pictures included of the progress."

"Jeff is a great guy and a hard worker. Excellent service & always responsive to my questions and concerns. We have already caught 6 skunks traveling thru my yard. His method is effective and humane. Cages are small enough we havenâ t had any â spraying â incidents. We are still in process of reducing the cul de sac infestation of the rodent pests. His prices are fair and I intend to keep using his services. Heâ s a trustworthy pro ! This is the company/guy to hire! (I had an assessment by a different contractor and they lied to me. ). ADVANCED WILDLIFE is the best. Happy customer, M.Shelley King City OR"

Small jobs welcome

"We were battling rats for some time in our basement, and Pest Plus helped us finally solve the problem. It took some escalation as the standard procedures they use only worked for a short period of time in our case. The problem was a small portion of our basement cement had been opened to access the sewer when we added a shower to a basement bathroom. Eventually, we had to pull the shower out so Pest Plus could access the holes by which the rats entered the basement. We were able to coordinate Pest Plus with our contractor who pulled the fiberglass shower. Shortly after the shower was pulled, they examined the hole, advised as how to fill, and even filled. A big shout out to Eric, who is wonderful to work with."

"We needed more data as to whether we had bedbugs, so we hired a canine search which indicated that we did not. The problem turned out to have a medical explanation and not a vector problem. My advice is to use everything possible to decide if the problem is really bed bugs. A well trained dog is close to 90% accurate, and add that to physical evidence, i.e., feces stains which are brown, looking in the seams of your mattress, and on your bed frame is important. There are many pictures of evidence online, so do your homework first, then the canine, then the estimates. Try not to panic. The idea of bedbugs is extremely disconcerting and emotional. It is not a disease of unkempt and unclean people. It is becoming more widespread. So try to separate yourself from the image, and think clearly and read reliable websites. Here is the result of our research. [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] There are many photos of bed bugs, their feces, their eggs, and information as to how to investigate for them before you have someone come out. You need to educate yourself first, so that you know which questions to ask. Do not forget about using a trained dog. See my review of a canine under "Pest Control.""

"Great. Get smart way surpassed my previous pest control company’s knowledge base. He uses science based methods, not just outdated routines and chemicals which other companies employed to no avail."

FAQs for small animal pest control service projects in Beaverton, OR

Self-removal attempts using store-bought traps can cost $50, but require personal time investment and knowledge of proper handling techniques. While DIY methods might work for isolated cases, professionals bring expertise in identifying all entry points, implementing effective deterrents, and safely handling wildlife.

Consider your comfort level with wildlife management and the potential health risks—armadillos can carry disease—before deciding between professional services or personal intervention.

Most homeowners see initial results within two to five days after professional trap placement, particularly with single-animal situations. However, multiple factors can extend this timeline, including the number of animals present, weather conditions affecting activity patterns, and the complexity of your property layout.

Properties with established armadillo populations might require one to two weeks of active trapping. Discuss realistic timeframes with your wildlife specialist during the initial consultation to set appropriate expectations.

Filling and repairing burrows adds $75 to $110 per hole to your total project cost. While some comprehensive service packages include minor repairs, extensive landscape restoration requires a separate payment.

These repair costs cover materials like topsoil, sod, or concrete patching compounds, plus the labor to properly restore the damaged areas. Before finalizing any service agreement, clarify exactly which repair services are included and which will incur additional charges.

While armadillos remain active throughout the year in many regions, scheduling removal during less busy seasons for wildlife control companies might secure slightly better rates. Fall and winter months often see reduced demand for these services, potentially offering more scheduling flexibility and competitive pricing.

However, the most cost-effective approach is addressing armadillo issues promptly when first noticed, regardless of season, as delaying can lead to more extensive damage and higher ultimate costs.
