This morning my wife called Jerry Smith and the other high rating company. After she described what we encounter here, the other company start to promote their pest control program, which is more expensive then Jerry proposed. (That company gets A for overall but B for prices on Angie's list) Jerry didn't try to sell anything but just said that he can come within 30 minutes to take a look. 30 minutes later he shows up in front of our door and took a look at the 35-foot height wasp nest, then simply told us that those are Bald Faced Hornets and won't be a threat to anyone since the nest is so high above. And they should leave or die in the winter and won't come back, so we can save some money. After nicely answering some more questions from us, he just left with no charge..... I would like to remand this company to my friend and ask him to help us if we have any pest problem in the future. <br />"

Ants were gone in about 24-48 hours, except there were several ants still hanging out on a kitchen counter, I simply took some leftover bait and put it on the counter, and that took care of the remaining ants. The employee was professional and courteous, and gave me some helpful hints regarding our occasional mouse problem. The normal price of this service is $95, but an Angie's List coupon brought it down to $80. I would definitely call him again if we have any other pest issues."

"Over the course of figuring this termite thing out I dealt with five Plunkett's employees, and they were fantastic. Professional, punctual, and thorough. They went over the house with a fine-toothed comb looking for live termite activity (found two locations) and installed a Sentricon bait system. They were very good communicators and explained everything they were doing and looking for. (I ask a lot of questions.) There are off-the-shelf termite control products out there, but it was important to me to put it in professional hands."

"I had high hopes that Rose's would be my go-to company for pest control, they were recommended by a friend I trust. I first contacted them through their website. When I didn't hear from them, I called them directly and set up an appointment. The gentleman who came out on a Saturday was great, examined the situation, gathered bug samples, but surprised me when he didn't treat immediately--he wanted to take the bugs back to his office to positively identify them. He told me there would be no charge until they came out and treated, and he said he'd call that Monday to let me know what the next steps would be for treatment. 2 weeks later when I still hadn't heard from him I called their office; the receptionist was very apologetic and told me she'd contact them and get back to me that next Monday. A $150 charge had also appeared on my credit card for the service they hadn't performed yet. Around this time I finally got a response for my initial inquiry through their website...so weeks later they were finally responding to that, incredibly slow. A week later when I still hadn't heard from the receptionist or the original guy I called and complained to a different receptionist who said I needed to talk to a different office. When I called that office, they finally scheduled someone to come out and spray. I decided I didn't want to pay monthly for their quarterly service if their customer service and scheduling was so spotty, so I called and cancelled at the beginning of July. Now just days after I cancelled I see a new charge for $70 has appeared on my credit card. I called again to cancel and ask for a refund, they'll hopefully reverse the charge without my having to call again. I'm not sure what's happening with their customer service department, but it seems very disorganized with nobody steering the ship. I would advise anyone dealing with them to pay only with check, once they have your credit card information charges will appear on your card from them regardless of what they've said to you about charges."

"It went well. They communicated with the adjustments in scheduling due to excessive rain and flooding to provide emergency service to other customers. For sure, flooded basements take priority over repairs in an attic. Great group of individuals that work like a team. I would use them again. Also, they provided the name of a gentleman who does animal removal, Born Trapping Services, and he and his son did a great job as well."

"These guys really knew what they were doing. They knew the habits and activity of the animals they were trying to remove. They also used a live trap, but said that sometimes the animal dies from being stressed out by being trapped. I think this may not have been a live trap because it killed two animals. However, it was not acceptable to have the raccoons living in the attic. They came out several times to check on the progress of the trap and make sure the attic was free of animals. I also had them put some metal barriers on vents and other openings to animal proof the house. A raccoon did get in by ripping off a barrier (something they said they hadn't seen in 15 years), but they replaced the damaged trap and only charged a small amount of labor. Throughout the process he was willing to go into the attic, filled with insulation, and climb on the steep roof. He earned his money."
