"Danny and his son installed a new retaining wall at my mother's house. I live in Florida and hired Beaver Valley Lawn Service through Home Advisor. Danny was the first person to contact me and promptly gave me a quote. He drove from Aliquippa to Glassport for the job. He always kept me informed as the project was underway. He sent multiple pictures of the project. The completed wall looks great! They rerouted the drainage and removed all debris and hauled away all of the old wall. Danny was an absolute pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend Beaver Valley Lawn Service."

"We first Hired NSKD to do design work for a major remodel of our kitchen. We were really looking for ideas at that time, as we knew we wanted to refresh the kitchen and change the layout in a major way. Paula and Sara patiently worked with us through possible layouts and options – maybe as high as 10 different potential options. Once we chose a few options and started to consider the details and costs of the finalists we did decide on a layout, and refined it slightly more based upon cost and on some dimensional challenges. North Shore ended up with the remodel contract and used Elite Construction to do the work. They were both professional, attentive to detail and timely in their responses. The project finished in what both said was the most aggressive time they could hit - ahead of the expected time and in time for us to host a family Christmas gathering. Scope of the job included gutting the kitchen; removing a 45 degree corner to open up the kitchen; shortening a wall between the kitchen/family room; running the same tile flooring through both rooms; adding to the electric box; replacing a hot water tank; and in the kitchen implementing a new layout while replacing all cabinetry, plumbing, electric, lighting, countertops/backsplash and appliances. We have been using the kitchen now for two months, and could not be happier with the finished product."

"We picked a piece of Quartz (Category Z) from Mont for installation over all of our kitchen countertops. As a wholesale distributer, Mont does not sell the stone directly to customers, but requires a fabricator. We contacted 5 fabricators in Pittsburgh, and long story short, Lexmar was by far the best. I’ll give a brief account of why we liked them so much, followed by a longer account of what happened with the other 4. Hopefully our experience will be useful to others. I don’t have enough good things to say about Lexmar, but to highlight a few: 1) very fair prices, 2) extremely nice personnel, 3) super high quality work, and 4) on schedule from start to finish (so rare in the renovation business!). Our stone was a category Z from Mont with a very heterogeneous pattern that needed to be cut into many pieces with lots of cutouts. First, Cheryl, the contact person, is truly one of the nicest and most informative people I have encountered in the renovation business. She explained the entire process to me (and it unfolded exactly as she said it would), and answered all my questions without being patronizing or impatient. Second, the guy who measured the kitchen (before the demolition of the old tiles and countertops) must have done a great job, because when the pieces arrived, they were not a millimeter off. Third, when I visited their warehouse, the stone cutter patiently worked with me for an hour to match this unusually difficult-to-work with piece of stone into the right arrangement of pieces to make the seems look continuous. He really amazed me with his artistic eye for detail and how he traced the complex pattern from one end to the next. Finally, the installation went super smoothly. They showed up on time, worked diligently to make sure the necessary structural support was there and added pieces if in doubt. They did the plumbing as well, installed the cooktop, and tested everything. The result was the most gorgeous countertops ever! (will post pics when the renovation is complete!). Could not have asked for a better experience, and could not have been happier about supporting a local business with people who truly deserve the support. For the record, here’s our experience with the other 4 fabricators that we did not hire: 1- Armina stone: The most expensive quote, i.e., exactly twice as expensive as Lexmar. No itemized pricing was provided. 2- Magnotti and Son: the second most expensive quote. I have been their customer for stone and hearthstone for two fireplaces. They provide good quality cuts, but are sometimes unnecessarily expensive. For example, they charged me 50% more for a box of limestone from Eldorado compared to another distributor. 3- Quality Granite Outlet: Same price at Magnotti and Son, but itemized and detailed. Fast response and an offer to price match. We did not follow up with them because the price was still 60% higher than the least expensive quote we had, so we figured price matching was probably not going to work out. 4- Ultimate Granite: Second least expensive option after Lexmar. I had them recommended by our tile guy, so I was interested in working with them, and their low price and good reviews were appealing. I’m afraid our experience with them left much to be desired. In contrast to Lexmar, they could not be less unfriendly. Speaking with them on the phone felt like a grand imposition. Even though the price was only slightly higher than Lexmar, when I asked them whether they were interested in matching it, they dismissed it right off the bat with no attempts to retain us. When I asked for specific prices of like backsplash, they never got back to me. So, they were naturally out."

"<p>The new wall established a three level property front. This work replaced a previous railroad tie wall. Omnipro is easy to work with and professional. Their price and workmanship are great.</p> <p>After the work we had an ongoing problem with the wall subsiding in one area on the top level wall. We (Omnipro and I) could not figure out whether it was ground water related or natural soil subsidence under the wall. In any case, they came back and replaced that section of the wall three times over the next several years. The last time they did they put in a footer in the problem area and we have not had a problem with subsidence since.</p> <p>Whatever the origin of the problem, Omnipro stood behind their work.</p> <br />"

"We would highly recommend Jason Palat Landscaping. When Jason came out for an estimate, we showed him the cracked concrete, sagging brick walls around the patio and explained the drainage issues. The original plan was to keep the existing concrete slab underneath a roof overhang and remove everything else (sagging brick walls and cracked concrete). The new patio would be longer, but not as wide due to roots of a large tree (probably to source of the cracked concrete). Jason even came back with his laser level to make sure the pavers would meet the remaining slab without creating a step, while still maintaining the correct slope for drainage. There were a couple of unforeseen complications during the project (surprise!) and Jason recommended fixes for them while keeping our budget in mind. First were the large gaping holes under the concrete slab we had intended to retain; it almost looked as if the slab was cantilevered from the house without any support under it. Jason recommended removing and replacing with pavers and modified the overall design slightly to keep the additional cost down. Also the pipe underground from the downspout was clogged with tree roots. He ran a new pipe with a pop-up drain and charged us his cost. Everything else went smoothly. The final step was replanting grass which is coming in nicely. Jason even left additional seed and straw for an area we were still trying to decide: plants or grass. As far as communication, Jason is very quick to answer emails and calls. He and his crew are very professional and do great work. Again we would highly recommend Palat Landscaping."

"Wow! Cesar and his team did a fabulous job. Even though we had signed up for a 3 hour cleaning, they stayed 1.5 hours longer to get the job done. They were on time, professional, did a great job, were polite. Our kitchen looks brand new!"

"Zeke's Outdoor Services is a father and son team. Aaron drew diagrams and explained every step of the procedure to me. <br /> <br /> They started with the driveway, then the retaining wall and last my porch. They cleaned up nicely and fixed my yard with grass seed afterwards. <br /> <br /> A few weeks later, they came back and sealed the driveway and porch. <br /> <br /> My new porch, steps and driveway looks thousands of times better than before. I would use Zeke's again in an instant. Very trustworthy, very professional, and very reliable ."

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Canonsburg, PA

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
