"As new homeowners to an old house, when we discovered a gas leak and got our gas shut off by National Grid, we were very panicked to hear that getting gas back would require a major overhaul of all our existing old systems. We used HomeAdvisor and got referrals for three different plumbers. While the cost was fairly similar across everyone, we chose Angelo because he quoted a far shorter time period to get gas (in days) versus everyone else who thought it would take several weeks, and his scope of work was far more complete. Angelo's approach was to replace the majority of our gas piping which would definitely solve the problem. The other two plumbers were quoting a piecemeal approach to testing and repair, which meant the cost estimates were a "best estimate" and without certainty. I'm very excited to write that we just got our gas restored in three business days! Angelo and his team arrived on time and worked very hard to replace all of our gas piping and to get everything code. The team was hugely professional, deeply experienced in this type of work, and most importantly, got our gas back very quickly. In addition, Tina (who manages the office) is very responsive, professional, and courteous. After getting our emergency gas back, we now have one more building inspection to go, with Angelo laying out details. In short, we highly recommend Hydraulics Mechanical for gas line repair and work.
