Cody the owner came to my home to replace a couple of outdoor outlets that were old and the plug had to be â just rightâ to have anything work. He also replaced an outlet in the bathroom that was clicking when specific items were plugged in. While here he did an examination of my electric panel and didnâ t try to upsell me to replace it now, even though it is a bit older but in great shape. I had Finch Home Solutions come out a second time and given we had a large storm the night before they had an emergency call to attend to the morning of my appointment. "The only model thermostat they offered was high priced ( $350 plus installation or $453 total), High tech, WiFi link to smartphone, programmable. I told him I wanted a simpler model and was told the only other option was more complicated and more expensive and that "this is how thermostats are now". I told him I was upset, but had no other options. I now know this was 'extortion' , since other simpler models are still available and would have been better suited to this senior citizen. A furnace cleaning the same month prompted a list of things I should buy despite the furnace passing it's tests.....be prepared for a sales pitch. They did come promptly and were polite. I will not hire them again."
