"The advantage to hiring Robinson Plumbing is their integrity. We initially called to have the kitchen drain unclogged - for the 3rd time. Previously, we hired another highly-rated service. That company snaked the drain and cut into pipes in an area that couldn't be reached by the equipment they had brought with them. They advised that we discontinue using our garbage disposal, as the problem would keep repeating itself. As careful as we were, the problem repeatedly recurred and we finally called Robinson. Dylan responded on the same day and offered to clear the blockage, but he advised us that previous work performed on the pipes had not been done to code and the pipes were pitched poorly. He recommended that we have the pipes properly pitched, so that the water would drain easily and not sit at odd angles and unrealistic bends. We were disappointed that none of the previous plumbers had mentioned this glaring problem. Dylan tackled a problem that no one else was willing to spend time resolving. He cleared the blockage so that we could use the sink over the weekend, and he returned the following Tuesday to fix the grading problem. When he quoted the project, he anticipated having to re-pipe the kitchen, bathroom, and basement areas that were connected to that particular line. However, he and Gage were able to re-work the project more efficiently and less invasively, concentrating all of their effort in the basement and not having to touch the kitchen or bathroom. Dylan patiently demonstrated how the problem was fixed and assured us everything was checked with levels to ensure the necessary pitch. We trust that the problem has been resolved for the last time, and we are extremely grateful to have found both professionalism and integrity in Dylan and Robinson Plumbing. We will certainly hire them again for any future plumbing needs."

"Not well.  Overtightened hose to toilet (reused old one), broke in the middle of the night causing almost $20,000 of damage.  Denied responsibility. Insurance took hose and discovered cause and his insurance did cover the cost eventually.  There was damage from the second floor to the basement. For me, a lot of distress for something that could easily have been avoided had the hose been replaced with a new one and not overtightened.  I would not use him again. <br />"

"First, the price quoted on the phone to us the day before service was not the price we had to pay after the water heater was installed. It was $200. MORE. Then, 2 days after installation, we noticed water on the basement floor around the base of the heater. We called, someone came out the next day and said the new piping was incorrectly installed. He fixed it (hopefully). This expensive water heater also makes a louder, rattling noise when it is heating up water, compared to our older model, the same brand, Bradford White. We can only hope this water heater lasts."

"Called plumber from Philadelphia on Friday late in the day, and explained problem. Commode tank leaking.  He arranged to be at Pocono home on Monday.  We arrived early and contacted him, and he came early.  He completed the job expertly, even removing the gunk we tried to use to fix it.  He gave us some advise on our other pipes, and, after hearing he also did electrical work,  we asked about a broken flood light.  He checked it out for us for no extra charge.   Pete Tuzzio is his name, he is a very nice person and a wonderful professional. <br />"

"Action air conditioning and heating came to my house to update the maintenance and cleaning of my 90,000 BTU gas furnace. They also changed the filter for me and taught me how to do it properly. They have been to my house previously to trouble shoot some minor issues with my unit and I am always very happy with the service provided. <br />"

"I called Ray as water was gushing out of the garage. Came on emergency at 11.00 and they where there in next hour.   Ray and the boys came in and did a professional job. They put a sump pump and pulled pipe over my lawn. They came in couple of days later and finished the job nicely. Also woked with the state water supply to detect the cause of the damage. I would recommend them for their professionalism and quality."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Kunkletown, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
