"Wow! These guys are in a class by themselves when it comes to customer service, communication and finished product. Kris was very prompt to come out and give us a quote for a large driveway pad and two walkways that we needed to have redone. The walkways were large flagstone that had become too difficult to maintain and we wanted them replaced with aggregate. The large driveway pad was for a newly constructed shop, my pride and joy, and I wanted to break up the large area with some aggregate accent strips and Kris had some great ideas. I was so impressed with his ideas on the shop pad that I thought I'd throw him a curve and see if there was anything he may be able to do about a botched aggregate staining job that was done on our front walkway years earlier. He said that his wife Lynn was the stain expert and that they'd try, no promises but they'd try. After going over all the work that we wanted done Kris sat down and went to work on a quote. I was preparing myself for sticker shock but was surprised how fair and reasonable the price ended up being. Kris laid out a few different options and the costs of each, explaining the whole process and what was included very well. My wife and I ended up going with a package that included a 3 year maintenance plan, which was perfect for us considering I work in Alaska and am gone much of the year. I was impressed with Kris and his family throughout the entirety of our project. These guys work tirelessly, are extremely conscientious, are great communicators and deliver a BEAUTIFUL finished product. Lynn was able to restain our front walkway and the end result is amazing, I'm no longer embarrassed having people come to our front door. I really couldn't recommend Kris more highly if you need any type of concrete work."

"Todd came out and looked over the hot tub level situation and checked the level. He explained how the concrete leveling process worked. On the day to level, the hot tub had been removed and the new one was waiting. Todd and his assistant, Stan, drilled a few holes in the slab and pumped in grout, re-leveling the slab. The hot tub is in our backyard and down a hill and required about 80 feet of hose to pump the grout, so not an easy job. Overall the new tub is much more level than the old tub previously was. One corner that was most out of level actually had a void underneath that Todd could detect while he was drilling. They patched the holes in the slab and they blend in well.
"

"We hired Jay to come to our home to help address concerns with various cracks that were appearing throughout our home. Jay was very professional and polite. He didn't mind having me follow him around the house while he inspected everything. The good news is that Jay didn't believe we have any kind of major structural issues. The piece of mind I now have made this money very well worth spent. I will keep his card in the event I need his services in the future.
"

"I first contacted Todd in March. I spoke with him and a few other firms. He was not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. I read the reviews on Angies and chose him despite one somewhat negative one, which I mentioned to him. Todd is a great and extensive talker and his explanations seemed reasonable as did his description of what he would do to my driveway. That included removal, adding compacted gravel, and when we asked for it, rebar, cutting a clean line at the street and creating a neat transition between the street and the driveway. When we discussed how I wanted a different color for the pathway than the driveway, he said he would do the integrated color, but that a stain might be cheaper. He did end up doing a stain, though there was no reduction in price. I took him to a driveway in my neighborhood to show him how I wanted the finished job to look and he seemed very knowledgable and told he it would be no problem.

I became uneasy when he kept delaying the start of demo because of a lack of a dump truck (an extra charge for me, not included in the original bid). Finally they started, Todd, another worker and his girlfriend. It turned out that he did not need to add the compacted gravel, but when I asked for a credit he told me that he had to haul away so much dirt that he would have charged me for that so no credit. I had foolishly thought the removal of the old driveway included hauling the debris. In the process of digging out the new driveway\path my underground sprinkler was cut. Over the years tree roots had wound around the sprinkler line, making repair difficult. Also in removing the river rock Todd removed a great deal of soil and it had to be replaced. Initially when he broke the sprinkler line, he told me it was no problem he would repair it, which I expected, because in the course of initial discussions he assured me he would leave everything looking good.

When the he tried to cut a clean line between the street and the drive, it crumbled. I'm not sure why though he told me it was because the street was old. I think it was perhaps he didn't use a saw. He seems to have a lack of proper equipment. To create a transition between the street and the driveway, Todd used cold patch asphalt, which looked dreadful. I called him and he told me that it would look better over time and that he did it as a favor to me. Also as a favor to me he brought some dirt from his home and did a poor job of replacing some concrete pavers that had been removed in the course of the work. I did myself a favor and called in a professional asphalt company who removed the bad asphalt job and did it right. I also called in my hardscape guy who fixed the pavers and filled in the areas of missing dirt.

It turned out Todd wanted to be paid for the sprinkler repair and couple buckets of dirt, I told him I wasn't happy with the price and we reached a compromise.

I was unable to be home when Todd came to seal the driveway, but I had called and told him there were marks on the driveway from when he stained the path and put in his asphalt patch. He assured me he would clean it all away. After the sealing the marks were still there. They are not terribly noticeable, but what is very noticeable is the 2 inch chunk that broke off a corner by one of the cuts. This occurred yesterday, less than a month after final completion. Todd came by to pick up the final check and took a look at it, blamed the nature of concrete and the kind of cut. I might even be to blame for gluing a piece back in place. He said he could fix it with a patch but it wouldn't look the same.

After having paid so much for this job I have to say I regret not just doing asphalt again. My driveway doesn't have the polished, professional look of the driveway I had taken him to see. Todd is a nice young man, but he hurries, doesn't pay attention to detail, blames everything else when there is a problem. I never felt that doing the best job for me and making sure I was satisfied was his top priority. It is too bad really, because I think he has the skills to be excellent.
"

"
I was in the process of selling my home and needed a good deal on replacing my driveway. I was away from town and needed a good contractor to complete the job without my presence. I contacted two to three contractors in the area and received an immediate response from Mac Construction. Additionally, the quotation provided from Mac Construction was significantly lower than their competitors. I received a call right away and the contact person (Cresencio) provided a quotation the same day. The job was done on time and the quality was excellent. Being on the road while having the job done was a challenge; however, Cresencio and his team completed the task with minimal complications.

I highly recommend Mac Construction for driveway work to anybody.

"

"Very tough to get a fixed start date. Once they started the job took double the predicted time to complete. Although there was a necessary break for a few days of bad weather, had they been on time this wouldn't have been a problem. Most days the crew (or lone worker) arrived around 10am and knocked off around 3pm. Neither we or our neighbors were surprised that the job took so long. However, the quality of the job is outstanding. They did a beautiful job on the curbs, the drain system works perfectly, and the flagstone stamped drive came out great...it looks like real stone, no cracks, great color and texture, easy to keep clean. I would definitely have them do work again, they are trustworthy, stayed on budget, and the owner and primary workers were very nice people. Just make sure you plan on extra time for the job! we really appreciate their quality work!
"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Longview, WA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
