"We thought we needed foundation work. They not only told us that was incorrect. They directed us to a structural engineer who would be able to help us. No charge. Most appreciated."

"Pete came out and provided an estimate for all the work. He cautioned me to not expect too much difference in the way the water drained, but agreed that certain slabs should be raised. The day he came out, he walked me through exactly what they intended to do, and even suggested some additional pads that would benefit from being adjusted. All told, he probably adjusted 10-15 pads. He and his crew were professional, and did exactly what they claimed they would do. I am also happy to report that water no longer pools in the low spot in my front walk, and it is almost amazing to see the walk way on the side completely tilt from towards the foundation to away. There was absolutely no damage to any of my landscaping, and they cleaned up all the excess mud before leaving. All in all, an excellent experience!"

"Richard and his son Jason were excellent.  They made every effort to save me money by re-using my sandstone stairs to my front door.   They went out of their way to see the new bricks used matched the old brick.  After taking apart the old brick riser - they added a concrete block pillar under the large top slab for support; they turned and reset the sandstone step to a good clean edge with the proper slope so water would not pool and they cleaned the green slime off the sandstone so it all looks brand new! <br /> They dug out the crumbling mortar in my chimney; tuckpointed everything and added a concrete cap so that water would drain off the top of the chimney in the future rather than running behind the brick. <br /> They also found that the mortared joints between a sandstone cap on a decorative brick wall were cracking, and the repaired that as well. <br /> They were prompt in responding to my initial call for an estimate.  They performed all the work exactly as stated and for the price quoted. <br /> They cleaned up after they left and you would never know they were here except for the caution tape protecting my new front steps. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Mentor, OH

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
