"Kaydn has been very responsive as our renovation and repair needs evolve. We certainly aren’t done yet, but we will keep this company involved as we continue to work forward through some major renovations. We just started with them for essential repairs before embarking on the more ambitious projects. Kaydn has proven himself as very knowledgeable and capable. More to come."

"Garage will be built in the spring but they gave me a detailed estimate and will get all the permits when the building is getting closer to the time. He was very professional when he came out to talk with me"

"I can't overstate the quality of the work these folks did. We had our unfinished attic converted to living space, and the space had a lot of funky angles and old framing. G.A. Doughty's team did an incredible job making it work, including a half-bath! We're very pleased with the result. Everyone at G.A., the project manager, office staff, and all the subcontractors were very polite and fun to work with. Everyone who came to the house was very friendly. The only issue we had was that for a few months during the middle of the project, things seemed to stall out for about 6-8 weeks. I think they were having some availability issues with subcontractors and were overloaded from other projects."

Portland Kitchen Quotes is a kitchen design studio serving Portland and Southern Maine. Tell us about your kitchen: the layout, the measurements, the style you want. We design it in our own kitchen design software, with 3D renderings and wall-by-wall layouts, then hand you a real cabinet package to build from. That means a complete cabinet schedule, sized and specified for your room, not a rough guess.\n\nWe work with established cabinet lines, including shaker, painted, and wood finishes, and every design comes with a budget range before final supplier pricing. Whether you're remodeling, replacing cabinets, or planning a kitchen in new construction, you start with a design you can actually see.\n\nStarting your design takes about ten minutes, and it's free with no obligation. "Boynton Builders has worked on several projects in our home. The quality of the work is outstanding. Wes's attention to detail, neatness and work ethic are second to none. Their prices are fair and they respect the homeowners financial perspective. They communicated with us often and clearly; no matter what came up along the project. We especially liked how tidy Wes kept our home as the work progressed. This shows how respectful he was of our property."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Monmouth, ME

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
