"The guys came out looked at things gave me an estimate and returned the next day. The young man worked on up til after dark. He was friendly and very respectful with yes mam and no mam. He told me he was going to do this and that and worked consistently. Everything is working like it should I feel so much better since they repaired things. I know if there is a problem I can call and they will be here. Such a great group of Christian people working together to help others. I didn't have to worry about them in my home or their work. Great job guys. A[++++++++++"

"At four o’clock on Monday, my roommate called to let me know there was no water. I suspected it was the pressure switch and using Angie’s List I found Clayton. The name sounded familiar and I suspected they had worked on my well previously when my parents owned the house. I called Jimmy and by 5:00 p.m., he was at my house as he had been in the area. He replaced the pressure switch and gauge but it did no good. Upon further investigation, he suspected it was the pump and arranged to come out on Tuesday morning by 8:00 a.m. He and Danny showed up right on time and proceeded to start pulling up the pump. It was quite the chore seeing as how my well is 410 feet deep and very stubborn. Jimmy, Danny, and their helper Will, were such professionals! They took the time to explain what they were doing and why. Jimmy offered me a couple of different options for replacing the pump, he was very candid about the pros and cons of each, and I chose to go with his recommendation. After replacing the pump, it was clearly working but the pressure was not building as fast as they thought it should and they asked if I had any leaks in the house. I did not believe so but with a closer look I found a toilet that was leaking in the tank. Danny looked and was dismayed to find that the toilet did NOT have a water shut off valve. At this point, it was late in the day, I had already paid Jimmy for the work, and I needed to go feed a friend’s cats. It was decided that they would go work on another job and return at 7:15 p.m. Danny gave me a list of items to purchase from Lowes and when they came back, right on time, he fixed the toilet AND added a water cut off valve. Jimmy even replaced my old, rotted, well cover that was older than I am. I cannot say enough good things about Clayton Well & Pump Service. They were responsive, professional, courteous, they picked up after themselves, and were reasonably priced. They made sure the job was done and that it was done correctly. I would not hesitate to use them again nor to recommend them to my friends and neighbors."

"Once again, Guy Harty has done an OUTSTANDING job for us! <br /> He replaced our garbage disposal, replaced the flushing parts in two toilets, and replaced the vanity and faucet, all in a very short time and at a reasonable costs.  He also found that the drain line needed to be cleared & called Vortex Drain (also on Angie's List) to take care of this issue for us. <br /> Guy is an excellent example of the great contractors on Angie' List. <br />"

"They came and did what we wanted them to and told us what we were wanting to know. Their price on the water system was higher than a few other estimates we received, but we haven't decided what company we are going to end up going with on treating our water. I think they are very professional and they did show up to the appointment on time. They were knowledgeable in their field and explained the process to us."

"They are very knowledgeable and professional. They were quick to respond to my needs and had everything installed within a week of the initial water test (which was free). They installed a water softener, a PH neutralizer, an iron breaker, and a sediment filter as well as replaced some of the old existing plumbing that was poorly installed. Once installed they explained what every piece of equipment was in detail and how to operate them. They showed me how to maintain the water softener and told me how often to check/refill it and gave me suggested service intervals as well as prices for the maintenance that I would not be able to do on my own. They were not the first ones to quote me for the job but were by far the best price and I'm very happy with the service provided."

"I would 100% recommend Sprinkle Septic. Our leach bed failed and we were displaced from our home for months while obtaining a permit. Once we obtained the permit, I called 8 septic companies for a quote for repairs. Michael was the first one to respond. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. He was the only company to ask if were displaced and seemed to care about how this was affecting our lives. Upon finding out the answer, he promptly fit us into his schedule and got to work only a few days after hiring him. We ended up needing our entire septic system replaced, yet all of the work was completed in just a few days. He also would take the time to answer any questions that we had, ensuring that we understood what was going on and how our septic system works. His pricing was slightly higher than other quotes but it was worth it for the quality of service. I will never call any other septic company for repairs or even just to routinely pump the tank."

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Mount Airy, NC

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
