"I cannot rate Tim Cook and American Plumbing highly enough.  I own a rental house in Columbia but live in Greenville.  I contacted him primarily because of the reviews on Angie's List.  In February, after one of the freezing nights, a neighbor called me and told me water was gushing out of the foundation of my house!  I consulted Angie's List and called Tim directly.  He returned my call within minutes and said he was close by and would at least go turn off my water.  He contacted me again in a few minutes and told me it looked like a ruptured water line leading to my water heater which is in a "hut" outside the house.  He texted me pictures and gave me a quote/estimate  and time to fix it.  He came when he said he would, did excellent work and again texted me pictures.  He even fixed another leak that occurred at the same time from another plumber's failure to sufficiently solder a section of pipe under the house.  Just last week I called him again to replace a tub drain. He came even sooner that he said he thought he could and sent me pictures again.  Great work, reasonable prices, very professional, extremely personable and completely trustworthy.  In fact, I let him have a key to the house and felt completely confident in his coming and going.  I just wish it was cost effective to have him come to Greenville to work on my home.

"Life Savers!! We live in an older house with a very small bathroom. We had a home inspection recently and were altered to some major subfloor, sill and joist damage. We knew it was in rough shape but the inspector used terms like “100% moisture and “previous repairs poorly completed”. I called a few other contractors and remodel companies that started to throw around some huge numbers and timelines to make the repairs. The consensus from them was the tub would have to be removed before they could do any subfloor repairs. In a house with one shower that wasn’t really an option for us. I saw the reviews for the Crawlspace Medic and decided to give them a call. It was the best decision I could have made. Sharon, Paul and Stanley were great; they made the process very easy and efficient from the initial phone call to the installation. Paul came out to do the initial visit (11/14) and assured me he had seen much worse and his company had developed methods to do all the necessary repairs from underneath the house leaving the current bathroom intact. The quote arrived the same day and was extremely reasonable. They got us on the schedule right away (11/20) and on the day of the repairs Nick and his crew arrived on time and were very professional. The job was scheduled for two days but they completed it in one and did a great job. We no longer have to worry about falling through the floor. They also provide a follow up inspection in 90 days and informed us of a couple other minor leaks that were noticed while completing the repairs. Crawlspace medic is a great company and I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing their services."

"Greg Martin is an excellent contractor/manager. He, his employees and his subcontractors maintained a smoke free, cuss-free presence. The quality of his crew's work was well above average to exceptional. Greg is an excellent communicator and throughout the four week renovation located many items that while not part of the stated contract did meet the stated goals of an inclusive renovation and correction of all discovered faults. His advice was sound and he would include alternatives that met the goals I had described. This renovation was of a 1,394 SF ranch home built in 1970 that had a partial renovation in 2004. All drywall was smoothed and imperfections removed. Areas with paneling were removed and replaced with drywall. Ceilings were scraped as needed and all walls and ceilings were first sealed then repainted in three coats and ceiling "popcorn" was applied for a uniform finish. All HVAC grills were cleaned and replaced with new including two return air filtered vents and two passive pass-through vents. A 400 SF family room addition (not included in home SF above) was treated to perfected wall surface, priming and painting. Moldings throughout the home were darkly stained oak. All moldings were either replaced or sealed and painted, likewise all doorframes. Both common and master bathrooms had all fixtures removed and plumbing relocated as needed prior to reinstalling fixtures. Many fixtures were new as well as new lighting. Excellent appearance and useability after completion. Kitchen and dining area flooring had a number of layers of floor finishes. These were removed to a common height, leveled and smoothed with some subfloor replaced due to age. All cabinets were removed for renovation, walls repaired with some drywall replacement. Walls were smoothed primed and painted as throughout the home. New cabinets were installed as well as countertops that permitted installation of new appliances. There were significant issues with plumbing in the kitchen that were resolved by relocating supply and drains to a new location and reinstalling. The overall fit and finish of the home was vastly improved by Greg Martin and his workers with Easy Does It Home Improvement. I whole heartedly endorse this crew for any home improvement - large or small."
