"Technician (David) arrived well ahead of the scheduled time block (calling first for okay), quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the needed part. Since the A/C is over 20 years old I was prepared to replace the unit and was relieved that it was a simple repair. David was excellent at explaining what was going on. Will definitely call again when service is needed."

"They arrived on time, pulled out the old equipment, and hauled everything away. They replaced the new equipment and added the ductwork. They were at all times very professional, polite, answered questions when we had them about the various pieces. We lost our unit when the temperature was approaching 100 degrees.  They managed to work us in and start demolition a day early. After the unit was installed and running, they vacuumed, cleaned surfaces and resealed the attic opening. Our house looked like it had before, with no additional cleaning needed. We would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to everyone. <br />"

"I had mixed experience with them. I think they are pretty pricey. A week or two ago, we had some problem with the system and I called a different provider who were prompt and solved the problem quickly and I can’t tell for sure if they were pricey or not. <br /> <br /> Apollo have been doing the maintenance twice a year and I think they are pretty pricey. During the spring check up, they failed to find the problem that popped up a couple of weeks ago. I think they have great service but they were not able to prevent the problem we just had."

"On November 24th 2014 a scheduled inspection was performed by Campbell & Co. They found that our furnace had a cracked heat exchanger and they capped the gas line to the furnace and put a "red" tag on it leaving us with no heat. They provided 3 space heaters to tide us over. The best they could do in either repairing or replacing our HAVC was  sometime in December. The forecast for the week end was lows in the teens. <br /> November 25th I contacted Home Depot and they in turn had <em><strong>Access Electric and Heating</strong></em> call me that morning. The tech came over immediately and after inspecting the HVAC proposed to do a replacement with a Bryant Legacy 92% system for $7300 tax included and said they could do it the next day, not weeks away leaving our house to freeze up. I agreed and paid for the installation up front. <br /> The next day at 9AM I called and they assured me that the installation was scheduled. A short time later an electrician, Ryan, arrived and went to work completely removing the old HVAC and the out side compressor. <br /> Some time during the day the system arrived and Ryan working by himself almost completely installed everything. As other techs freed up from jobs they came to assist Ryan. They worked until well after 6PM getting everything in order and working. <br /> The finished installation puts the original HAVC install to shame. Everything is plumb and secured. At no time did the technicians, Ryan and Ray indicate that they resented working 10 hours on Thanksgiving eve. They also never rushed anything and the expense of quality. <br /> As a plus while Ryan was on the roof installing the new required PVC vent he found that our old vent was missing a cover, which he fixed as the water heater still uses it. He also found that the gas fire place vent was missing one too. <br /> The system is currently up and our house is perfect with a new HAVC, touch screen thermostat, and an 25x20x5" MERV 11 filter. <br /> Couldn't be happier. C&C came in with an equivalent bid of $8000 plus tax and I'd still be waiting and running electric space heaters! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Richland, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
