"Colosseum Remodeling did exactly what they said they would do and for the price they quoted. We had remodels in our previous homes, but these guys were by far the best. They had great work ethic, they communicated clearly and professionally and they made sure everything was completed to and beyond code. This is the 2nd project they did for us and we will be calling them again."

"My wife and I purchased a charming brick ranch home from the 1970s with dreams of transforming it into our ideal living space. Our first project was opening up the kitchen/family room to the living room by removing a load-bearing wall—definitely not a DIY job. We posted our project on Angie’s List and were soon contacted by Isai Huezo, owner of Huezo’s Construction LLC. Isai visited us the next day, and his estimate was so reasonable that we eagerly hired them on the spot. On Monday, a professional crew of four, led by a foreman, arrived promptly at 7:00 AM and got straight to work. They were not only highly skilled but also incredibly polite, keeping the work area immaculate during the demolition. By the second day, the team had seamlessly removed the remaining 2x4s, installed a robust lintel beam, and perfectly matched the drywall and trim to the rest of the house. We also had an outdated picket wall around the basement stairs. Isai recommended modernizing it with a sleek 3-foot wall, and it was completed within the three-day timeframe. Thrilled with their exceptional work, we discussed adding a dream screen porch and deck. The estimate was too good to pass up, so we went ahead. The results were nothing short of spectacular. The screen porch was beautifully integrated with the roof joists, and the deck, built on sturdy 6x6 posts and attached to the house, was a masterpiece. The porch featured custom wiring for lights, a ceiling fan, and outdoor floodlights, with a stunning tongue-and-groove pine ceiling stained in a glossy walnut finish. The craftsmanship was top-tier, and the crew's professionalism and courtesy made the entire experience a delight. Encouraged by their success, we tackled our outdated 1970s kitchen next. Isai returned to vent and wire the microwave, install LED lighting, and add a sconce light. He even refinished the ceiling and windows. After removing the cabinets, Isai didn’t miss a beat, finishing the ceiling, painting the trim and windows, and installing a beautiful tile backsplash. When we realized our old appliances didn’t match the newly renovated space, Isai went above and beyond, helping us select and purchase new appliances and offering to install them. Huezo Construction exceeded our expectations in every way with their exceptional craftsmanship, incredible value, and the wonderful camaraderie we developed with Isai and his crew. We eagerly anticipate remodeling the bathrooms and building a concrete back porch with them. I wholeheartedly recommend Huezo’s Construction for any project."

"Wow! Moving On Services was amazing when I needed help. I had to move a friend from one Assisted Living to another with VERY short notice. Nancy and her team were fantastic. She sent her packers to help me pack and sort; these women were amazing. I never could have done it alone! They even hauled off donations for me. The next day the super strong guys showed up along with the sweet packers and moved the heavy pieces as well as the boxes efficiently and carefully. With the Covid 19 restrictions in the facilities, it was even more complicated and they managed beautifully. THEN, when it was determined that my friend with dementia had become a wandering risk; I had to move her again! Same facility, but different building. I was devastated and in tears. When I called Nancy, she was compassionate and told me her company would take care of me. By that evening, she called with a plan to send me someone to help pack up the next day. The young woman who helped me pack the second time was so compassionate and worked so efficiently that she helped me stay calm. Together we worked and moved quite a bit of the smaller things across the parking lot that day (in the heat). Then the movers arrived the next day (two Thursdays in a row, they had to move the same stuff). THEN that sweet young woman helped me unpack and put everything in its place in the new studio room! If I ever need to move my friend or myself again, my FIRST call will be to Nancy at Moving On Services. (And to my surprise she has even followed up with a caring call to see how I am doing after all that stress.)"

"Matt was prompt with his response to our request for an estimate. He worked within the rates provided by the penny pinching insurance company. He stayed in contact with us throughout the two month long project. He took a bare stud and concrete gutted basement and turned it back into a great living space. He was flexible as our plans changed. The guy is a true jack of all trades. The project took longer than we wanted, but not all of the delay was the contractor's fault. He was also amenable to our expectations that minor defects be fixed. <br /> We intend to employ him again to work around our home. <br />"

Mr. Robbin's does good quality work - he is careful, accurate and finishes the job as contracted. He is responsive, he showed up when he said he would and has a professional manner. "burned I called Gary he was on his way back to my area from FL. I told him that we had no water that I thought our pump had gone out. He drove all night and was at my house by midday. He went under the house and found out that our pressure gage had burned up. But since we knew our pump was close to being gone and he had one in the truck we just had him fix it. Whole thing took about 3 hours. <br /> I will use him again. He said he moved to FL but to call him anytime and he would come up . <br /> <br /> <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Staunton, VA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
