She created an outstanding plan for our new kitchen that matched our wishes exactly! Eva was able to order the materials quickly, and they began work right away. "We truly cannot say enough good things about Tom and his crew. Tom repeatedly came to our house during the design phase to ensure that the final product was exactly what we had envisioned. He made several great suggestions during the process. He responded to phone calls and emails. He was always punctual. In order to finish the job in time for an event that was held at our home, Tom and his crew needed to start on July 17th. The job started on July 17th and continued through the hottest period of this summer. They worked diligently regardless of the frequently oppressive heat. <br /> They took great care in accessing our property (through our neighbor' yard), creating as little disruption as possible. We have dogs - they were always cognizant to replace the fence each evening so that I wouldn't have to worry about dogs escaping. Upon completion of the job, Tom and his crew graded the area that had served as the staging area, seeded it and then covered it with hay. <br /> The finished product is truly amazing - it is everything we had hoped and beyond. The quality of the workmanship is evident throughout the project. Everyone who has seen it is in awe. It was a very big undertaking and I'm sure taxed Tom throughout the process but he delivered exactly what we wanted, he delivered it on time and he delivered it as it was originally budgeted. "This job was done 10.5 years ago as of 2021. The finished product turned out great but its the behind the scenes experience that what unsatisfactory thus the three stars. Job was overpriced by comparison but we like to think you get what you pay for and C. Brook had lots of great reviews and seemed like a quality group. It took longer than expected but that comes with the territory. Punch list included lots of leaks in the porch roof and after many return visits and gutter alterations the water coming in staining the ceiling and bulk head where fixed. Recently ( 10.5 years after install ) we've had issues with the steps off of the back porch, deck boards and fascia boards coming loose. We called Mike and he came out to take a look. Most of the pressure treated joists used are completely water damaged. He explained it was partly due to the way they constructed it ( which they have since changed ) and that there is a warranty that can be used for the wood they sourced. Cedarbook wanted a very high price to do the repairs, ( compared to the other estimates we have obtained ) and told us that we had to handle all aspects of the warranty ourselves. A very disappointing response overall."

"We met Bob at a home show and described to him the long-standing problem we had been having with water in our basement. We had him come out to look at the yard and he said he could indeed solve the drainage problem with the sloping yard against the house. The price he quoted was less than half what another contractor had given us, and Bob talked us out of a more expensive fix that we believed to be necessary to solve the problem. That was a couple years ago, and we haven't had a drop of water in the basement since, even with the significant storms we've had this year and last. We light a candle at the 'Bob' shrine every time it rains now and chant "we are not worthy...""

"<p>Prior to starting my project, I had a list of questions re: the work that was to be performed. Ed spent a lot of time answering every question, making sure I understood the terminology and the process. My house is on a hill, which made logistics for the entire project very challenging. The digging of the foundation, concrete pouring and built-out walls was impeccably done. Overall, Ed was incredibly helpful, and provided suggestions and ideas on how best to prepare the area for the entire project, such as a temporary service road for the construction vehicles and the delivery of materials for the entire project. Ed and his team are very conscientious of the work area, taking great care not to disrupt or destroy plantings, and was very professional and efficient. From the attention Ed paid to the details of my project, I could tell that there is great deal of pride in the work he and his team do. I would definitely use Vachino Masonry and Construction again.</p> <p><br /> </p>"
