David Lupberger on Replacing a Toilet Seat: Hi, I'm David Lupberger with ServiceMagic.com. In a bathroom that's about 10 years old, your toilet seat becomes a little dated, even a little grungy. What I want to do today is show you, for just as little as 10 dollars, how to replace a toilet seat; just how easy it is. Everything comes included. And with nothing more than a screwdriver and about five minutes, we're going to replace this somewhat tired toilet seat. Lupberger: Step 1: remove the old screws from the existing toilet seat. And these are just simply plastic screws. I'm holding the washer underneath and I'm simply taking the screw out. I will do this on both sides. And with that the old toilet seat will come off. I'm going to pull the old top off. You see how simple that was? And we talked about it being a little grungy. So take a minute or two, and clean that surface. And then your new seat is ready to drop right back on. I'll tighten those screws, and you've got a new toilet seat.
