when your husband passes on and you do not have anyone to tell you no you can not put a shelf there or we do not have time to do that room for storage bins ect.. biggest reason is your at a loss for any kind of direction inside and for someone to draw the picture of what could be plus help you get there would be ossome or even have widow discounts if husband no insurance or pension for her

I could use help. Recently divorced, I maintain 'stuff' that I don't want to go through. I also tend to hoard & have mild compulsive behavior. My place is a terrible mess. Since I am disabled, too, my health prevents me from doing much lifting, reaching, bending, etc. Is professional organization very expensive?

I would definitely pay a pro to help me put my large walk-in closet in order. I want 2 tier hanging rods, space for shoe storage. Large storage for winter clothes/sweaters. I would like to share this space with my spouse. HELP!

Lupberger's home organizing tips: No matter what the weather is outside, getting the inside of your home organized can be a daunting task. Hi, I'm David Lupberger with ServiceMagic.com. From garages to closets to home offices, getting organized might be a job you'd rather pay someone else to do. Turns out...you can do just that. It's everyone's dream garage - streamlined walls, heavy-duty cabinet organizers...but for many of us, our own garage falls far short of what we want it to be.
Sean Shiers/Global Garage: Most of the ones that need some help can't even get in the garage.
Lupberger: Sean Shiers of Global Garage is a prescreened ServiceMagic professional who makes it his personal mission to turn any garage into something like this. If organization is your wish, then Sean can make it happen...and he doesn't have to stop there.
Sean Shiers/Global Garage: The homeowner does a good job of directing us or guiding us, but from a design point of view, I'm looking for organization, color symmetry to accent the house and ultimately the pizzazz that when you walk into it, you're like "that's a finished room."
Lupberger: That's the treatment that Eric Grayvan got when he hired Sean to do his personal garage - a move he says he wishes he made years ago.
Eric Grayven: It is something that in my next house I would have done as an order of business before moving in.
Lupberger on home office organizing: And Eric is far from being the only person looking for professional organizing help. In 2007, requests to find a ServiceMagic professional organizer anywhere in the country nearly tripled. And that includes other types of organizing professionals - from closets, to basements to home offices.
Betsy/Client: It wasn't pretty.
Lupberger on home office organizing: It may not look like it now, but before she got help in her home office, the space was littered with piles of magazines, letters, and just general disorder. Betsy hired ServiceMagic professional Elsa Jewett of "All in Good Order" to overhaul her system. As with all her clients, Elsa started with the basics.
Elsa Jewett on home organizing tips: I first look at the furniture. And look at what is affecting them...ask them questions about what is the function of the room...sometimes it's multi-functioning.
Lupberger: And the results were almost immediate. Betsy says the difference is...
Betsy/Client on her newly organized home: Night and day. I can tell you that anyone who's come over to my house in the last two months is amazed and incredibly impressed at how organized it looks now.
Lupberger home organizing tips conclusion: It's easy to see the benefits of getting your spaces organized. If the thought of doing it yourself doesn't sound all that fun, relax and let the professionals handle it.
