They removed the old roof in one day and left the property cleaner than before they started, which was outstanding! "When you purchase this service you are asked to send pictures of the room,  and a layout drawing  with the dimensions in inches.  I sent pictures from every angle in the room.  My layout drawing was rough, but I made sure that the dimensions were correct.  It is important to show doors, and width from door to wall, windows and spaces between window and wall, etc.

Explain how you invision the room and what you would like to keep in the room. You should let her know what you like and dislike as far as fabrics, colors, and style of furniture.  I hate paisley, but failed to include this in the information that I sent to the designer.  So there was some paisley in my concept board. I told her what I liked, but failed to tell her what I disliked and would not want to see in the room.

Once I sent pictures, dimensions, and room layout I received 2  suggested layouts for the room from Jill.  I selected the layout that I preferred.  You they receive a concept board for the room with  her suggested furnishings and fabrics. To my surprise she also gives alternatives to what she suggests.  Her suggestions are in various price ranges so that you can choose within your budget.

"We purchased the unlimited consultation package. Amanda is very friendly and professional. We struggled because we were looking for someone to consult with out of the box ideas. Once she understood our vision she could move forward, but innovation was not her strength. We paid an additional amount for drawings. These were detailed, and while not all changes were made as requested, we were able to get some value from them. In hindsight, I would not pay $99 for drawings. Any cabinet retailer will do these for you for free, which I did not know until afterwards. The company wants you to spend time telling them about your style, which ours is Country French. The first cabinet rendition we received was black expresso. We did a complete kitchen tear out so this may work fine for smaller jobs or if you have done this before. It just didn't work for us with distance and what we needed. I was able to find someone locally that sold the cabinets we wanted and she was a wealth of information and things moved much faster. Good luck to HMD. It's a good idea and the person we dealt with we liked personally."

"We hired OnPoint Construction to upgrade our rental property. They responded promptly when called for an estimate. They discussed with us the pros and cons of every decision about products and materials. The estimate was free, and included a detailed description of everything that was included and it called out items that were excluded. Their estimate was not the cheapest, but we picked them to do the job because we recognized the value of having someone that would get the job done right faster. There were delays getting materials that could have affected the completion date but we were saved by the owners working long hours to keep the project on schedule. "Got an estimate very quickly, great response time, But then the communication was inconsistent and there was confusion about if/when to start. When I called to make sure they were coming, they did not knowfor sure whether they were to do the job, anyway, they came out when originally scheduled and the work accomplished was good (not necessarily excellent but very good).
Their cleanup was virtually non existent, No drop cloth or anything else was used on the floor, they did paper over exposed beams and masked windows and doors.
It took us 4 hours to clean up the floor however (unfinished concrete) and although it was unfinished, the floor still required being clean prior to finishing.
Other thoughts:  while they were here, I asked for estimates from the owner on other aspects of this project and the owner told me they did that type of work (concrete floor) but after asking twice, the owner never gave me an estimate.
In essence while the work they did was acceptable-nearly excellent-with the communication issues and lack of cleanup I am not 100% sure whether I would hire again or not. The one additional thing in their favor is the lack of decent contractors in Salem.
