He listened to our ideas and even gave us an itemized proposal so we could see where we could make adjustments as needed. Additionally, Ryan's proposal was fair, and came in under other contractors' cost estimates. Every member of the team that we encountered was knowledgeable, polite, and professional. They worked efficiently and were respectful of our time. The crew went above and beyond to keep construction messes contained to the remodeling area, end even cleaned up at the end of each day. Ryan was in regular contact through each phase of our project to let us know who and what to expect. It is worth noting that the payment structure was divided, which helped to build a sense of trust and rapport, and ensure that all work would be completed and to our standard. "Lux Renovations did an excellent job in remodeling my basement. David Guimares, together with Louis Villegas, did a very timely and professional job with installing an Owens Corning basement. They were very easy and courteous to work with and provided key input when needed for HVAC considerations. They worked well with coordinating electrical work and getting required town inspections done in a timely manner. In addition, David provided good suggestions to enhance our finished basement plans prior to starting the work, including how we may be able to reroute some plumbing to enhance our celling height. My wife and I (and are neighbors) are very pleased with the outcome of our finished basement and recommend Lux for remodeling a basement."

People are still complimenting and admiring the work they did at my daughter’s home and I expect the same will be true for their handiwork at my own. "KDK is a family owned local company that is totally devoted to excellence. Dave and his team were amazing and made sure that we understood what was happening every step of the way. This was a full master bathroom remodel beginning demolition to remove everything down to the bones. Dave assisted with selecting all of the required supplies - tile, vanities, tub, toilet, lights, mirrors etc but all decisions were ours to make. We used Dave’s network of suppliers for the additional work required. We needed an electrician (MRS Solutions) since we opted for a heated floor and also a separate contractor (Brown’s Glass Shop) to install the glass shower. Everyone recommended by Dave was top notch and I will use them again for any projects that requires their expertise. To sum it up, we could not have asked for a better experience and to top it off Dave and his team are extremely friendly and personable, our dogs would welcome them back each day. Highly recommend and we will hire again."

"We hired Bill and Al to update our small bath as part of the home remodel before we were putting it up for sale. Bill gave us a great quote and finished the job as he said, without skimping on the materials (infact he used high end accessories at every step when he could have easily used some other less expensive materials). He personally drove me around and helped us picked the tile, vanity, flooring to use. Overall Bill and Al did a great job and are a nice team. They should be in the top 2-3 of your list if you are considering any bath/kitchen upgrades, especially if you don't want to deal with larger design-and-build shops. My only regret is not using them for our kitchen project as well where we could have saved some money as well. Highly recommended!"

"Project: Annual cleaning and inspection of two direct vent gas log fireplaces. The people that came were very friendly and did an excellent job of inspecting the duct and vents of the gas fireplaces. One was a direct vent with easy access from the deck, the other the tech had to climb onto the roof. The tech noted a flashing that needed some caulking which he was able to do at an additional fee as this was not part of the original inspection/cleaning task. He did provide a discount as he was already on the roof. Although they cleaned and inspected the vents, they did not perform the items listed in the Heat and Glo annual cleaning and inspection checklist for the fireplace units themselves. I have to get a company in who actually does maintenance and sustainment work on direct vent gas fireplaces. After repeated tries, the tech was not able to actually start the one fireplace he attempted to start and it was obvious he did not know the procedure. I paid and they departed. I would not ask them to come back for a gas fireplace job, however, they were professional and nice, so I would consider them for a project better suited to their knowledge and experience. Rather than scan my credit card, the tech took an actual photo of it with his cell phone. I called the company and they said they would be sure the photo was deleted. I have not gotten a return call confirmation."
