"In August 2012 this company installed four supports in the crawl space of a 100 year old home. This was necessary to replace support lost when the fireplaces were removed. We had them come back this year, May 2013, to install steel posts on the first floor directly above the previously installed supports. The steel posts carried the additional support upward and fixed the support of a header that was previously installed incorrectly by someone else. Besides fixing the supports for the header, they also repositioned it and beefed it up. This company works with you to come up with the best solution without going overboard. They don't try to oversell you, listen to what the homeowner wants, and work within your budget. This home has been gutted and is a work in progress. They are willing to break things down into smaller tasks and work with you. Ken Pohlman, the salesman and estimator for our area is great to work with. We will definitely be having them do more work as our budget allows. We have worked with two different crews and both were excellent. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. We didn't realize we could request a crew but will do so in the future. I don't remember the names of the first crew but this crew was Steve Johnson and Matt Pierce. We will request them next time.

"Luke did an EXCELLENT job! His estimate was fair and didn't change mid-job. He was at my home every day at the time he said he would be and worked through the day and kept us abreast of his progress and what he would be doing the next day. Every day when he left, he cleaned up anything he used and left no mess (really we left a bigger mess). He removed the shelving systems in the closets and replaced them when he was done, moved all the heavy appliances and furniture and really, once he left, we were left with a beautiful home and no signs he was ever there. He is professional, polite and a very talented young man. We already have plans to hire him for additional projects. Choosing this young man would not be a mistake. My Wife and I had considered a full kitchen remodel at the time of having the ceilings repaired but every contractor we spoke to wanted to do the kitchen and not the ceilings... except for Jorge... his first point of buisness was to make sure that our ceilings were beautiful, and repaired... he even made suggestions that made sense saved money and ended up being beautiful. We had 6 rooms replaced with flat Sheetrock celiengs, and installed recessed lighting, and other accent lights... while we were living in our home... Nashaly and Omar were respectful and courtesous to our need to get in and out of our house with an infant child, they cleaned every night when they finished, asked about and listened to any issues we had and handled them promptly... this was the best experience that we have ever had contracting someone for home repairs..."

"We purchased the unlimited consultation package. Amanda is very friendly and professional. We struggled because we were looking for someone to consult with out of the box ideas. Once she understood our vision she could move forward, but innovation was not her strength. We paid an additional amount for drawings. These were detailed, and while not all changes were made as requested, we were able to get some value from them. In hindsight, I would not pay $99 for drawings. Any cabinet retailer will do these for you for free, which I did not know until afterwards. The company wants you to spend time telling them about your style, which ours is Country French. The first cabinet rendition we received was black expresso. We did a complete kitchen tear out so this may work fine for smaller jobs or if you have done this before. It just didn't work for us with distance and what we needed. I was able to find someone locally that sold the cabinets we wanted and she was a wealth of information and things moved much faster. Good luck to HMD. It's a good idea and the person we dealt with we liked personally."
