"I decided to purchase the Big Deal because my AC unit seemed to be rattling.  The noise was intermittent but it was worrisome. 
UMC Appliance Repair Co. arrived a little late but they called to say they were delayed on a previous job. When they arrived, I told the technician about the noise.  After inspecting the unit, he say that the condenser coil was extremely dirty and he recommended an acid wash.  He asked when the unit had last been serviced.  Since it had been a while since I had had a basic service, I told him to go ahead.  He also said I was a little low on freon so I told him to top it off.  These services added an extra $310 to the Angie's Big Deal.
The AC unit is on the roof.  The technician assured me that the acid wash would not hurt the roof or the plants in my yard.  In order to avoid future acid washes, he recommended servicing the unit 2 times a year. 
The air conditioner is running quietly and efficiently now.  I was unhappy with my old AC service so I will certainly use UMC Appliance Repair in the future.

"First company came out and gave a estimate for the compressor to be replaced. Their price was $400.00-$700.00 . Nationwide Appliance services came out and performed an inspection and found out the problem was a start relay. The job took 15 minutes and now my GE refrigerator is working perfectly. The repairman Mike was on time, explained everything well and cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased that I only had to pay $123.76 because they give a 30% labor discount for Angie's List members. I will be using them again."

"Robert was a wonderful technician. He was concerned about the expense in replacing the burned out parts needed to repair the washer, and attempted to find options. However, the parts were needed, and so he reduced the labor costs, which he didn't have to do. We were very impressed with him, and worked long and hard to repair the washer, which we had originally thought we may have to completely replace. Our 15- year old 'top of the line' washer looks like it might last another 15 years. We will definitely use this company for all of our appliances. After we used Home Advisor for this situation, and hired Airflow, we cancelled our Sears Home Warranty , which had kept us waiting 2 weeks to repair our washer, including a no-show who finally showed up 3 hours late. "Overall, we like their service, and would like to recommend to others. I first got referral about Dino through a friend's sister. We interview about 5 vendors, how we decided to hired Precise Builders because Dino show us the very detail drawing on computer and made some really good suggestions that other contractors did not even mentioned , or say not able to do, and the cost seems reasonable even not the cheapest , he also brought us attention those items not included in his estimate`but we should expect to spend ,such as shower room doors, garden window ,appliances if we planned to buy new items.. etc.. (after we signed the contract we found the company also prepared the list.) which is great , some other contractor did not brought it up even it's our own responsibility, so we kind know the expense mighty be. We checked the review from Angie's list as we always do . because we wanted to know how others said. On the top of the above , Dino took efforts to find the color of the cabinet which I told him I care very much about it. When the project started, Andres was in charge, Andres is a very good team leader and he had very good team members, hard working, happy workers, and they were willing to match with our schedule , it made our life much easier. and he was very responsible , anything happened, he tried to made arrangement to be here, very patience and calm . The office people, such as Kareen always follow up and took care of us, always follow up even minor issues. So we always know where we are. The project were pretty much on schedule, only few days behind, we consider that was very good... Also, no surprise payment , even there was a very minor disagreement, but they well taken care.. the project completed totally within our plan. We were happy with our decision , but we do have few little suggestions: we believe Dino tried to make our life easier to brought vendors to us ( Counter top, bathroom tiles, shower room tiles etc)but, to think it over, we would rather go visit different show rooms, To see the chart or samll pieces sample are so different then see the display , we would be able to make even better choices .. The shower room high light was totally shocked me when the worker started to installed, Dino was far away , the vendor got upset and just said it was my choices, yes, it was my choices and I was exciting to see the small sample by then. but a no imagination people like me, I wished I could see a display rather then just small pieces. The shower room turn out ok, but it was pretty scary at the time. Of course , kitchen cabinet maker was only sample, but luckily, not only ourselves but all friends visited compliment the color , the cabinet maker ( Michael ? sorry can not remember his name) was really awesome and responsible and willing to made true suggestion according to his experiences ( not just to say what we like to hear) to the detail such as pulls and knobs, those looks tiny but also such high light for the kitchen , we are totally happy with him. We also glad that we hired Dino, thanks for our friend's referral . we would happy to recommend him to others. but, Before we almost complicate the project, I asked Dino to gave us an estimate for our 2nd bed room's bathroom and if he can recommend a person to fix our sun room window , he never took effort to do so, we are not sure if he was too busy or he did not think we will do it any time soon. But, at end, we would like to say. Yes, we are happy for the project, happy to work with Dino, Andres and his team , Kareen in the office . We love our new kitchen and guest bathroom."

"We decided it was time to remodel our kitchen, master bathroom, guest bathroom, remove walls and raise the floor and ceiling in the dining room, and refinish our wood floors in the living room, dining room, entryway, and hallway. We called Goodfellas Construction based on their rating on Angie?s List.  Within a couple of days, Danny Gold from Goodfellas came to walk through the project with us and give us a quote.  Danny was very knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with.  He went over every detail of our project and provided ideas that we hadn?t thought of as well as listening to the ideas that we had.  He made sure all our questions were answered.
     This remodel was a tremendous undertaking and it was completed on schedule.  The quality of the work has been exceptional.  Danny has been outstanding.  He is professional, detailed, and a pleasure to work with.  He was very responsive to any questions we had and kept us abreast of the work that would be going on.  He was always available by phone, text, or email ? day or night.  During the demolition of the walls and ceiling of our dining room, it was discovered that a header beam needed to be changed out which wasn?t included in the initial bid.  He explained the importance of having this done and provided a reasonable cost for the additional work.  During the remodel, we added things, such as recessed lighting, that were not included in the original contract.  Danny was receptive to the additions and provided reasonable costs for these add-ons.
     Julio, our on-site coordinator, is very knowledgeable, very pleasant to work with, and answered any questions that we had.  He provided guidance to his crew as well as doing quite a bit of work himself.  Julio is an exceptional craftsman.  He installed the plumbing in the master bath, installed the appliances, and fixed areas that needed fixing.  
     The demolition crew was great.  They put plastic over areas to help keep the dust from going through the house (at least as much as possible).  They hauled off all the debris and swept up every evening. 
     The electricians were great and very professional.  Mike and his crew did a fantastic job changing out all the old electrical in the kitchen and bathroom, installed recessed lighting in the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, living room, family room, and bedroom as well as smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors where they were needed.  They installed a new electrical panel and worked all day and into the early evening to complete.  They laid down a tarp over our garden area so they could clean up the stucco that had to be chipped away. 
     The plumber did a great job installing new copper plumbing in the kitchen and bathrooms and installing a new tub in the guest bathroom. 
     We worked with Henry, the cabinetmaker, and he was great and very pleasant.  He helped us design the kitchen and bathrooms that we were looking for.  He was very patient with us as we worked out the type of cabinets that we wanted and the colors of the cabinets.  The two gentlemen who installed the cabinets were very professional and did very good work.  They made sure all cabinets and trim were installed correctly and that the drawers and doors were aligned properly.  The painter did a great job painting the cabinets and touching up the paint after the cabinets were installed.  The cabinets are beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. 
     Samuel did all of the tile work, as well as many other tasks, and he is terrific.  We discussed with him the look we were going for and he measured and lined everything before he started working.  He did a beautiful job on the guest bath shower/tub surround.  The tile is stone with a mosaic picture frame and shower niche.  He tiled the master bath corner shower that included a shower niche and it looks terrific. The kitchen backsplash is stone and glass tiles and is gorgeous.  He laid tumbled travertine tile in a Versailles pattern for the kitchen floor and porcelain tile in both bathroom floors. He is very pleasant to work with, does beautiful work, and is very detailed in the work he performs.
     Luis was the main worker for the installation of the drywall and installing the new header beam in the dining room.  He framed and finished the area for the new linen cabinet area in the master bath. He also installed all the plumbing fixtures in the kitchen and both bathrooms, as well as hanging towel bars, toilet paper holders, and other fixtures.
     Julio, Luis, Samuel, Bernardo, Irwin, and others worked on the dining room.  The low ceiling was pulled down only to find a stucco ceiling above it, which was then removed.  The two sidewalls leading to the living room were removed as far as they could be for structural purposes, and a new header beam was installed. New cement was poured to raise the foundation to be level with the living room and kitchen floors. They also installed a new wood French door that leads from the dining room to the back patio.  They did a fantastic job.
     Daniel, the wood flooring man, laid new white oak wood flooring to match the original existing oak floor in the living room and hallway.  He patched in new oak floor in the living room and hallway where an old floor furnace used to be and repaired areas in the old floor.  You can?t even tell it was patched and repaired.  He then sanded, stained, sealed, and applied polyurethane to the floors in the living room, dining room, entryway and hallway.  He also laid the baseboard moldings in the living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway, entryway, both bathrooms, and the master bedroom.  He did a great job.
     Samuel, Bernardo, Luis, Irwin and his brother painted the kitchen, both bathrooms, the dining room, the new baseboards, as well as all areas that were patched and repaired.  The stucco where the new electrical panel was put in and the stucco around the new French door was repaired and painted to match the existing stucco.
     The granite fabricators were very good.  They picked up the granite slabs from the yard, measured, fabricated, and installed the new countertops in the kitchen and both bathrooms.  They look great.
     Everyone, from Julio?s crew, the electricians, plumbers, cabinet guys, cleaned up each and every day.
     On the last day of construction, Julio brought his crew (Samuel, Bernardo, Irwin and his brother) and they went room by room and fixed, patched, and painted everything that needed work so that everything look fantastic. 
     As stated at the beginning, this was a very large undertaking of a remodel project.  Our family and animals were still living in the house during this project and all the workers were respectful of that fact.  All the workers were a great group of men.  They were professional and very pleasant to work with.  We are so happy with the final product.  The work and the craftsmanship are excellent.  So glad we hired Goodfellas Construction to remodel our home.  Thanks Danny.  And please pass on our thanks to all the men who worked o"
