Basically I have a general knowledge of things construction. Not specialized in any particular field but can operate satisfactorily in many. Prefer smaller jobs not lasting over couple weeks.

We had 3 bids all through Angie's List, one of the companies Granite Outlet II that  we had used before. The other two bids were from Solid Stone Fab. and KAT Fab

Most of the bids were similar, except all of the companies provided different prices for removal, sink cutout, plumbing for rehook-up of sink, and rehooking up stove top.

Granite Outlet II had a plumber in-house. Solid Stone had a recommendation for a plumber and KAT didn't provide a recommendation.

We kept our backslash and KAT was the only company that had an issue with cutting it down if needed. And it was cut to allow for the quartz.

We chose Solid Stone Fabricators because we trusted Claudia to do a good job for us. She was very attuned to our needs and anytime we asked her a question if she didn't already know it she got right back with us. She took good notes and made sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. She was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We went to see the where the countertops were fabricated at Solid Stone and we also went to Cambria Quartz in Carrollton and looked at the Quartz we wanted and received large samples there.

They came out and measured and showed up on time, then we scheduled for the install.

The installers showed up at their scheduled time and finished in less then 5 hours. The next morning the plumber came and hooked the sink and stove back up.

Claudia came out a few days later and bought us our extra quartz. its VERY heavy but we wanted to keep it and they also made us a cutting board.

"We have a mid-century home and our porcelin kitchen sink had developed about a 4" hole beneath and to the side of the faucet deck plate, and the sink had a "gouge" where the porcelin had chipped away.  The hole beneath the faucet was all the way through the porcelin and the cast iron and went through to the cabinet below.  Mr. Russo repaired the hole, filled in the gouge and applied several coats of white porcelin-like material to the whole sink and the attached drainboard, then sealed it.  We had to wait 2 days before using the sink and Mr. Russo returned at that time and sanded the sink and applied another coat of the sealer.  He re-installed the faucet and soap dispenser for us, which was not his responsibility, but he did it just to help us.  Now our sink  looks like new at a fraction of the cost of replacing it.  Mr. Russo was prompt, professional and did not leave until we were completely satisfied.  We highly recommend his services.

"I went with 4 stars because I was not allowed to just write up a review with no stars. I did not hire this company, so I have no idea about the quality of the work. I can describe the Estimate Visit. The gentleman looked over the broken granite countertop I had and concluded that the price to put the pieces together would be $450.00 with a quality that would not show where the pieces had been "woven" together. Then, he did some more calculating and said he would be short several inches, anyway. He then urged me to let him put in a new top for $750.00. I got the feeling that he really did not want to do the repair, but to make a new top. After he left, I realized that he had made math errors measuring the length needed. Despite those errors, he would have been short just a few inches. I was not ready or able to spend money for a new top, so I did not hire this man and his company. After I got over the sticker shock or pricing shock, and thinking that he wanted to make more money, I realized that his work integrity and interest in craftsmanship were the driving force behind his interest in putting in a new top."

"After talking to many companies about a problem we had that we weren't even sure what was going on, I feel fortunate to have found them. Floors Sag or Shake knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it on my description alone. Their work was excellent and quick and they worked within our specifications (for budget reasons we needed to do the finishing work ourselves and they handled the demolition and structural repairs we needed handily).

"Dishwasher and ceiling fan service was wonderful. Garbage disposal is on its way, the shower fixture was a little messy and have to return 3 times to fix, pray its the last time. But not Choice Warranty's fault. Alittle pricey but allows you to pay them out."
