"I called JES Foundation Company for a free inspection of my crawl space. I was concerned about a crack in my foundation wall. JES inspector Richard Sheman Showed up to inspect my foundation. He sent a text with the time of his arrival. He was pleasant and on time. He went into my crawlspace and inspected the crack in the wall and stated I had nothing to worry about. He was very knowledgeable about the foundation and itâ  s structure. He explain to me how I could fix the superficial settling crack and save a bunch of money. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. "I live in a house that is over 100 years old with a stone foundation that also forms the basement walls. The old mortar between the stones had deteriorated over the years to the point that water would seep in in multiple places along the perimeter of the basement wall. This seepage basically occurred after every rain, and I always needed to move objects stored in the basement away from the perimeter for fear that they would be water damaged. I actually wasn’t very confident that the seepage problem could be fixed, but I finally decided to contact several basement contractors to determine if there was anyway to waterproof the basement. "Richard and his team did a great job. Richard came out promptly for a free estimate and offered options for repairing and replacing our driveway. We chose to pave over our old cement driveway with asphalt, a one-day job. Richard worked with the team all day, and they finished the job by late afternoon. They prepped the area, applied the asphalt, beveled edges and smoothed transitions to existing walkway, steps, and cement apron by the road. The driveway is smooth, neat, and looks great!
