He sent a text with the time of his arrival. He was pleasant and on time. He went into my crawlspace and inspected the crack in the wall and stated I had nothing to worry about. He was very knowledgeable about the foundation and itâ  s structure. He explain to me how I could fix the superficial settling crack and save a bunch of money. "We had 2 foundation cracks running from corner of basement window to the floor. Their recommendation was not to just fill in the cracks, as others suggested, but to also reinforce the structural integrity of the foundation with a solid steel plate bolted over the repaired crack. That approach made much more sense to me than the other recommendations I'd received. I hired them and they were onsite within 2 days and completed all work in a single day. "Jobe's did a beautiful job and we are thrilled with the results. I'm an experienced (30+ years) gardener but needed design help and recommendations for plantings for our new home after relocating from the Washington DC area to the Delaware shore. Jobe's came through on all counts. Their initial design, done with computerized imaging (pretty neat!), included more plants than we preferred but allowed us to pick only those that suited our taste. They excavated the new beds to 12 inches and replaced the poor sandy soil with good topsoil and amended it with compost and peat moss. All of this was done by hand to minimize damage to our newly sodded grass and fencing. When the plants came we were blown away - beautiful, large specimens that make the yard look established rather than the small random foundation plantings the builder gave us. They worked with us to place them where we wanted for the best appearance. They then installed drip lines and connected them to our existing irrigation system. The patio was constructed next and is beautiful. We had asked for a curved design with sitting walls at the rear, so there needed to be much stone cutting and careful placement. Freddie, Jobe's head mason, and his crew took their time and did a beautiful job. We suspect we'll enjoy many hours in our new outdoor living space. They cleaned up at the end of each day and at the end of the job repaired areas that needed reseeding or sodding from the construction. Lastly Joy and Jobe Tomer were great to work with and, importantly, treat their crew well, which in my book helps insure a well done job. Much of the work was done during the extreme summer heat wave - awful conditions at best. Their folks worked extremely hard but were allowed to stop when the heat was the worst in the afternoons. It meant the job took a bit longer to complete, but the results were more than worth the wait."
