Small jobs welcome

"In June of this year, an old (32 yrs. old) self-contained unit decided it was time to retire and communication was lost on the upstairs split system. With a family reunion scheduled within a few days the family at Giesbrecht installed new duct work to the upstairs to supply cool air until the part for the split system was delivered and a new self-contained unit was installed. Although I was an existing customer (2 new units about 6 yrs ago), this type of customer service was over and beyond any expectations. The amount of people and communication from the office to support all the work that was involved was outstanding. There were many people at Giesbrecht, on the ground and at the office, that supported these activities that were necessary to complete all of the work involved. I highly recommend Giesbrecht HVAC to anyone that expects outstanding service and commitment. There are way too many people involved there to personally thank, so thanks to everyone at Giesbrecht HVAC for an exceptionally job well done"

"I worked with Mark who made sure my family had a safe and to code chimney. He even came back to not only make sure everything was set right, but even taught me how to light a wood stove. As a Floridian, it was very much appreciated"

"The Technician seem to know his job and seems very experienced in it. He explained why the furnace was not allowing heat to through. There was a part that had to be checked every few years and cleaned. And he did it put the back inside the furnace and the heat started."

"Called warranty repair, found out that it was done by a local provider (Flori Heating and Air). I called Flori to schedule an appointment, they were here on time and got things back up, running and cooling. Since it was 95 outside, I appreciated their sense of urgency and calm professionalism, not to mention the quick return of cold air coming out of my vents!"

"The sales rep ordered wrong heatpump first time. He retuned to correct order & price in a timelyway. The installers were late expressed they were sorry. The guys helper was not dressed professionally torn pants. They didnot have all tools on truck & took a while to order & deliver to finishjob they said the job would take 3 hours but they were here from 12:45 - 9:15 pm.Three things were left undone. An open holee to outside of house, no insulation over pipes & condensation pipe is not draining right. I called 4 times, no reply yet to fix the problems. "The service provider was excellent (if there was a word beyond â excellentâ Iâ d use it!!!)(. He did a fantastic job assembling our new barbecue grill. Iâ d started putting the grill together, so he had to undo what I did and then reassemble it. It was an absolutely flawless job (there was a missing screw, but that wasnâ t; his fault). The job was so, so, so well-done. I would recommend these guys to anyone. The service guy was polite, had a great sense of humor, he was friendly. He helped me move the grill to my deck. He didn;â t leave till he made connected the propane tank and then sure the grill and the side burner ignited. Outstanding!!!!!!"

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Gough, GA

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
