"The construction done by Lucky and his sons was excellent! The new addition was built stronger than our house! I don’t know that we could have a better job from anyone else. We met Lucky after speaking with 8 other contractors, he had already googled our house so he had an idea of the job before he got here whereas the other contractors wanted pictures first. I liked his confidence and knowledge and he was also an engineer which was reflected in his workmanship. His design was better then we expected or even thought of. As a general contractor he doesn’t always do the site work but he was here much of the time checking on the job. His two sons did most of the hard work and not only were they extremely knowledgeable they were very pleasant to have working in your home. Lucky expected a lot from any of his subcontractors any made sure it was done right and calling them back if he wasn’t satisfied (the concrete guys did a sloppy job on the exterior concrete, not affecting the construction just the outside look of it. Lucky made them come back and fix it without us even having to ask. Anything we asked he went above and beyond to do. Lucky’s contract was the most detailed contract we’d seen protecting both parties. The job took one month longer then expected which I’m sure is normal in construction but due to issues out of his control, like two hurricanes. His initial quote was within the same range as most the others. The job ran $5,000 over budget but that was due to changes made and cost involved was explained first with the option to move forward with it or not. Things like we were going to try and save an existing sliding door that was 28 years old we changed to a nice French door that of course was an additional cost. A budget was set up and explained at the signing of the contract and some things ran higher then projected like concrete, the family room was built over an existing Florida room so the concrete had to be leveled to bring the floor up so there was no longer a step down which cost more. The budget cost was based on a step down which we changed deciding wanted it level. Extra costs were from our changes. If we had not made changes we would have been on budget. I don’t think construction is ever a pleasant experience but I think Lucky and his team got us through it. We most certainly would hire him again."

"Hired David Graf to repair a rotten beam on our patio, replace stucco/drywall around it, and redo the second floor balcony decking with new hand railings. Not only David provided us with the most competitive estimate, he realized some material savings during the process which ended up saving about 10% at the end. Quality exceeded our expectations. "When 3 other companies looked at my AC unit they told me it needs to be replaced. The cost of repairing it would be just about the same because my unit uses R22 freon AC tech's refer to it as liquid gold. Mike came out and said it's getting close to needing replacement but not today with a simple fix. I asked about the R22 cost and he explained it to me that some companies just take advantage of it to sell you a new system. Mike repaired my AC for $3000.00 dollars less then my other lowest quote. Why use Mike Harper AC: Mike is not an hourly employee he is the owner he does the inspection and the work. When he doesn't do the work he goes around and checks what his employees did to make sure what they did meets his standards. In my opinion finding Mike Harper AC was like finding a needle in a hay stack."
