"I had recently hired Mako Plumbing to replace a 75-year-old cast iron sewage pipe in my home and I couldn't be more satisfied with their work. From the moment Jay and Ron arrived, they exhibited absolute professionalism, were respectful of my home, and well-prepared for the task at hand. They skillfully fixed the problem and their attention to detail assured me that the job was done right. I truly value the dedication and hard work provided by Jay and Ron. Beyond the amazing technical service, what set them apart was the personalized service. They were courteous and patient with my queries. Should I ever need plumbing services in the future, I will certainly call Mako Plumbing."

"We had a total renovation down to the studs of 2-1/2 bathrooms that included vanities, fixtures, tiling, plumbing and electrical. The project was done and coordinated by Louis Puleo of Kitchen & Bath Works, Inc. Louie performed a major part of the work himself. Thus, the project reflects Louie’s honesty, reliability and professionalism. He is hardworking and takes pride in completing an excellent project. Louie work ethic is excellent. He responds to issues, big or small, immediately. Phone calls are returned promptly. Every day Louie came prepared not only for the work to be done but also ready to keep, as much as possible, a clean environment. The project was completed promptly. We highly recommend Louie, but the best recommendation is the one given by word-of-mouth. We have recommended Louie to two members of our family. Both family members have had projects done by Louie. Thanks, Louie, for your professionalism and excellent work."

"I have a 60 year old high ranch house with the main water pipes running the length of the lower level behind a finished soffit wall. We have had a series of pinhole leaks that soak the ceiling and create an expensive emergency call to a plumber. After the 5th such leak, I decided to replace the entire pipe. Joe quoted me the day that I posted the job to Angis. His price was quite reasonable. He started the job shortly after he quoted. He dealt with hidden issues along the way and completed the job, including the repair of the soffit nicely. He is great to work with. I highly recommend."

Schedule a plumbing inspection every one to two years to ensure your system is in good working order. Regular inspections can help you catch minor issues before they become costly problems, like major water damage repairs. You should also consider a plumbing inspection when buying or selling a home or if you notice signs of a plumbing issue. Staying proactive with maintenance can save you money and stress in the long run.
A plumbing inspection for a standard one-story to two-story home takes between two and three hours. For larger residences, historic homes, or rental complexes, a complete inspection requires a full-day commitment of eight hours. However, this does not account for any necessary repairs that your plumber might find, so it’s best to set aside additional time during the inspection in case an unexpected repair comes up.
When built with quality materials, your plumbing system endures for decades. CPVC, brass, iron, and steel provide reliable service for 50 to 70 years, while copper extends durability up to 100 years, and PEX maintains performance for 80 to 100 years. Maintaining this system with regular inspections and prompt repairs guarantees long-term efficiency.
You should repipe your home when your plumbing exceeds its expected lifespan or uses hazardous materials like lead, polybutylene, or galvanized steel. Persistent leaks, corrosion, and compromised water quality signal that your existing piping no longer meets safety standards. Repiping eliminates potential health risks and prevents extensive water damage.
