"Schmitty's Plumbing responded to my Angi's service request almost as soon as I submitted it, and they beat out three other Angi plumbing companies in terms of pricing and transparency. I hired Schmitty's to remove an old double bowl kitchen sink and faucet with a new single bowl sink and upgraded faucet. There was no upselling or attempts to convince us to replace our garbage disposal which two of the other plumbers recommended we do. We saw no reason to replace our disposal which functions well and is not that old. Partners Drake and Gage came out to our home as scheduled, and they got to work immediately working efficiently and thoroughly. We appreciated their no-nonsense, honest, prompt service, and very fair pricing. I chose Schmitty's based on the positive customer reviews, and would hire them again. I told them I would recommend them to all my friends who have plumbing needs!"

"My water pipe under my crawl space bursted from the freezing weather. I was able to connect to Mad Pipers Plumbing, LLC thru HomeAdvisor.com and had my pipe fixed in less then 18 hours. Ragen (the plumber) was on time just like he told me, even though the roads were bad, full with snow and ice everywhere. Ragen was very friendly and extremely helpful too. I highly recommended Mad Pipers Plumbing, LLC and yes, I will use them again without hesitation!"

"The plumber did a great job. He arrived with all parts to replace the hot water heater, lines, and even the water shutoff valve. He drained the old tank, removed the old and installed the new, checked for leaks, started the pilot and verified the heater was working properly. He worked on Saturday with no weekend extra fee. I would recommend Elite for plumbing needs."

"The estimate provided a clean and competitive estimate. After property owner decided to hire the company, job is scheduled to start a few days later. This is very impressive in consideration of busy season in the summer. The plumbers took a few days to work thoroughly on all items to bring all the plumbing to code. The owner has personally waited for county inspectors twice at the job site. The county inspector commented the job was performed very professionally. Love to refer Knockout Plumbing to friends."

FAQs for plumbing projects in Seattle, WA

Schedule a plumbing inspection every one to two years to ensure your system is in good working order. Regular inspections can help you catch minor issues before they become costly problems, like major water damage repairs. You should also consider a plumbing inspection when buying or selling a home or if you notice signs of a plumbing issue. Staying proactive with maintenance can save you money and stress in the long run.

A plumbing inspection for a standard one-story to two-story home takes between two and three hours. For larger residences, historic homes, or rental complexes, a complete inspection requires a full-day commitment of eight hours. However, this does not account for any necessary repairs that your plumber might find, so it’s best to set aside additional time during the inspection in case an unexpected repair comes up.

When built with quality materials, your plumbing system endures for decades. CPVC, brass, iron, and steel provide reliable service for 50 to 70 years, while copper extends durability up to 100 years, and PEX maintains performance for 80 to 100 years. Maintaining this system with regular inspections and prompt repairs guarantees long-term efficiency.

You should repipe your home when your plumbing exceeds its expected lifespan or uses hazardous materials like lead, polybutylene, or galvanized steel. Persistent leaks, corrosion, and compromised water quality signal that your existing piping no longer meets safety standards. Repiping eliminates potential health risks and prevents extensive water damage.
