"Work was completed, but with a lot of issues and lack of communication. Mostly listening and attention to detail. Items purchased/installed without consultation. Wrong doors purchased. Shower walls already detaching from drywall. Had to replace already new water heater because they hooked/unhooked/moved it so many times it fried the electrical board inside it. No accountability for mistakes. Plumbing company in town won't work with them anymore because of their conduct. They didn't know a blower door test was required to pass inspection, so did the work myself. Was constantly told "I'm not making much money off of this" as a way to skirt responsibility. JOBC made the quote, and was told that there was a specific budget. IMO wasn't willing to constantly pay more money, so other jobs took priority. They smoked marijuana in the driveway while working. Not opposed to that generally, but not professional. Was being sued by another client and asked for . Won't hire again."

"Alice Grimwood 4/22 /21 My wife and I were looking to redo our bathroom— (take out a tub/shower and have a walk-in shower installed). We were contacted by a representative of DaBella construction. The representative that arrived at our home was Alice Grimwood (phone: 253-720 -4942). On a scale of 1 to 5 We would give her a 5Plus. First of all, she was on time for our appointment. She was considerate of our pets (two dogs) and was concerned about covid. She was wearing a mask. She was very thorough. She wanted to see what we had and then inquired what we had envisioned. She then sat down and presented us with a multitude of options for us to consider. We then put together a proposed package. She was very helpful in showing us the pros and cons of our ideas. With her knowledge of the products, she was a tremendous help in determining a product that would meet the needs that we were looking for. She was a great help. She listened and would make suggestions based on our questions. She was well spoken, and very polite. She helped us get a price that was within our budget. She wasn’t pushy and did not try to sell us items that we did not need We would highly recommend Alice Grimwood at DaBella (253 720-4942) for any remodeling projects that you may have."

"Kitchen remodel went really well. We love the results. The positive things beside quality of work were: ease of communication, willingness to re-adjust and , of course, the final result. Work was done in the time it was promised, no delays."

"I recommend Aaron Gibbs's services as a handyman. He has done all types of remodels/repairs for me over the past year, from carpentry projects to odd jobs around my house. He is responsible, punctual, and a quick worker. Aaron is also a nice person. This past winter I wanted to remodel my kitchen and bathroom (tearing out and replacing cabinets, shower, etc) he listened to my ideas, shared his experiences and did the job in a professional and timely manner. I could not be more pleased with Aaron Gibbs's skills and work ethic. It's my pleasure to recommend Aaron Gibbs and his services."

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"The house needed to be sided and painted prior to our VA loan being approved.  Our closing was dependent upon this work being completed and the seller was paying for the work.  Even so, Mr. Childress allowed us to insert our opinions all along the way. A project of this size will have some bumps and Scatter Creek handled each of the problems with open, clear communication.  The timeline promised for project completion was aggressive, but everything worked out and we were able to close on the house in time.  While doing the work, Mr. Childress pointed out some other projects that were not immediate concerns, but he would be willing to do the work.

FAQs for walk in tub installation and replacement projects in Aberdeen, WA

Because Medicare classifies walk-in tubs as non-durable medical equipment, it generally won’t pick up the tab. Medicaid can help if a doctor certifies that the tub is medically necessary, but rules change by state. Call your plan early, ask which forms you need, and keep any prescriptions or letters on file to improve your odds of reimbursement.

A walk-in bathtub’s fill and drain times hinge on your home’s water pressure and the tub’s hardware. Most models with a fast-fill faucet need about six to eight minutes to fill and two to three minutes to drain; larger basins or standard drains can tack on an extra 10 minutes. Stay seated until the water is completely gone so you don’t swing the door open on a full tub’s worth of water.

A walk-in bathtub holds 50 gallons of water, and its design supports capacities that range from 40 to 80 gallons, depending on the product. In contrast, a standard bathtub holds 25 to 45 gallons. This capacity is determined by the fixed design of the tub and its construction materials. Homeowners should review the detailed product specifications to confirm the exact volume available for use during bath time.

Walk-in tubs are tax-deductible when the purchase qualifies as a necessary medical expense and meets the IRS criteria. Caregivers who install a walk-in tub also qualify for the Dependent Care Tax Credit under specific conditions. Homeowners must verify these requirements with the IRS and consult a tax professional, as state and program guidelines enforce strict documentation standards for such deductions.
