"Excellent service, very fast response to my request for service, picked up laptop, diagnosed issues. Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. I would recommend this company to my family./friends and will use again."

"Red Stick Air does great job every time I've had them out. The quality of their work is excellent. They respond immediately to my phone calls whether I call during the day or at night. The service guy that came out was punctual and very professional. A nice guy. I have no complaints.

"We are so pleased with the service from No Sweat A/C! We had broken ducts and the owner Clynt came out and assessed the situation right away. He and his helper did a great job and fixed the problem. We now can use our unit again! Very professional, courteous, and with a great work ethic. We highly recommend No Sweat Air A/C! Thank you so much!"

"All went well, and we have been pleased with the performance of the unit; however, I did want Angie's List members to know that one of the workers fell through our attic, leaving a hole and dangling, unusable light fixture in our hallway. I did not want to pay in full until the ceiling was fixed, as promised by this company. They insisted I pay and agreed I could write beneath my signature that they were to return or have another company fix the problems. They never called or returned, and my husband asked me to let it go. Ha! I never did--at least until we had it fixed!

FAQs for window a/c unit service or relocation projects in Addis, LA

If your window air conditioner is relatively new or of high quality, repairing it can restore optimal performance and protect your investment. However, for older units or those with ongoing issues, it might be more cost-effective to replace the unit to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability. Consider the unit's age, the severity of the problem, repair costs versus replacement, and energy efficiency ratings when making your decision. If repairs cost more than half the price of a new unit, replacement is typically the better option.

Window air conditioners last eight to ten years on average. After this time, you may notice decreased efficiency and component wear. Replacing an older unit can improve energy savings and provide updated features like remote controls and better overall performance. With proper maintenance including regular filter cleaning, coil checks, and professional servicing, you can maximize your unit's lifespan.

If your portable AC isn't cooling, it might have a refrigerant leak or a circuit malfunction that's preventing it from working properly. It's best to contact a local air conditioner contractor to inspect and repair the unit. If your AC is older and repairs don't fix the issue, replacing it might be the most effective solution.

Removing a wall-mounted AC costs $55 to $75. Completing the removal yourself at the end of each summer season, being sure to do so according to proper guidelines, keeps you within this cost range. Should you require professional assistance for removal and disposal, if you can't move the unit yourself, expect an added fee of $25 to $50 to the overall cost.
