I hired a contractor for that work, but also had Steve come out to estimate the work involved with removing the existing garage door and assessing if the existing garage door opener could be repaired, or if it had to be replaced. When Steve was on site, he only needed a few minutes to diagnose the opener--it was dead and had to be replaced. He also gave a quick quote on the costs involved with removing and then reinstalling the existing garage (he indicated that a new door and railing was not needed). From that point forward, everything was a breeze. "There was a discrepancy between the quote and the installers instructions, as we had requested two remotes and the installer said his instructions stated to only supply one remote. A quick call to Action and this was resolved, and we received two remotes. The installation only took a few hours. After the installer left, we inspected our new door and were disappointed to see that all the frames each panel is attached to are heavily scratched. We do not know when this damage occurred, but the scratches detract from the appearance of our brand new door."
