"The leveling went okay. Back in September of 2018 I requested that the crack along the wall be caulked. They didn't come out for several weeks and I cancelled. I hired another company to do the caulking. Now seven months later I receive an invoice for work they just did. Come to find out they use subcontractors to do the caulking and they just gave them the work order, seven months later and the subcontractor ripped out what was done back in October and re-caulked."

"I have some level of disappointment because Acculevel was unable to lift the patio back to its original position. That being said, I think the challenges they encountered would have been encountered by anyone else, and some of the other one-man mudjacking operations who wanted to use buckets or wheelbarrows to carry slurry back to my patio probably would have given up earlier. I chose Acculevel because they use foam instead of slurry (which should last much longer), they had a 300 foot hose solving problems with access to the backyard (I live on a steep slope with retaining walls), and I had more confidence selecting them compared to independent one-man operations who do mudjacking. Their price wasn't the highest bid I received but it wasn't the lowest. I thought it was fair given the foam is a higher quality product. The crew actually arrived an hour early, which actually wasn't ideal but not a big deal (a call would have been nice). They worked hard and I suspect they were there much longer than they had originally envisioned. They did a nice job sealing all cracks when they were done with a high-quality crack filler which most of the mudjacking guys told me they don't do. The good crack filler can be messy and difficult to work with so this was a nice little bonus. Although they couldn't get the patio back to where it was, they worked hard to do the best they could without risking damage to the retaining wall. At least with the foam they use, I have confidence it won't sink anymore."

"I met with Cheryl & Bryan in person and was able to go over the work I wanted them to do. They gave me a free estimate and a possible start date. They did not give me the lowest estimate, but they showed up to meet with me on time (others did not) and seemed very knowledgeable about what they were going to do. I felt more comfortable choosing them, since I knew I could not be there during the project. Once I confirmed that I wanted them to do the work, they started on time. This job was on a small cabin that we have in NC. I live in AL and could not be there during the job. Cheryl was very good about keeping me informed and updating me. They stayed very close to the original estimate. We went over a little bc I requested more expensive paint and added some extra trim work we were not anticipating. They completed the job in a reasonable amount of time and overall, the quality of the work seems good. They have offered to make any necessary touchups we need or want. <br />"

"It took a couple months to schedule the work but at each piece (estimate, electrical, excavation and installation) they called ahead, arrived on time, did all the work required with professionalism and courtesy. They even volunteered to clear the snow from my driveway by shovel when my machine wouldn't start. "I contracted Marc Todd himself and set up appointment for him to come over to measure and view the proposed project to provide me with an estimate. It was a little confusing at first, as he has a brother doing business as Jeff Todd Concrete. <br /> Marc Todd was very prompt, and came out the very next day after I made contact. I was very comfortable with him right from the first meeting. He was very kind, professional and just plain and simple, A VERY NICE MAN !! He listened well to what I wanted to achieve as far as an end result which also included troubleshooting an ongoing water problem. This water problem had not been solved by our last concrete contractor. Marc was very much more knowledgeable, and seemed to effortlessly troubleshoot and ultimately FIX the water problem. <br /> I asked him for references of prior jobs, and he gladly took me right to the places of other concrete pours that he had done. I was extremely impressed with not only the amount of concrete work he had poured in my area and the excellent looking work he had preformed, but was most impressed with how well liked he was by his previous customers. All of them greeted him like he was a longtime friend or family member. I knew when you have that kind of rapport with people you can't go wrong. And I was right as I am now one of his satisfied customers that truly look forward to running into him and getting a chance to visit. <br /> I had four estimates done all together, and his was not the cheapest , but it was no the most expensive either. His price was within reason when compared to the others. I feel that I actually got a much better job than I would have going with someone else for sure. You get what you pay for and in this case I feel like I got a bit more. <br /> He did an <strong><em>excellent</em></strong> job on my project and more. It is gorgeous. He actually came up with a few better design solutions than I originally had planned. AND NO MORE WATER PROBLEM. He stayed within in his original estimate, even though he made a upgraded change that would be better for my situation. He completed the work on time as well and worked hard at "fitting me into his schedule" as I had a party planned that I needed it completed by. He was TERRIFIC to work with. The best contractor I have EVER done business with actually. By the time he finished his job our whole family just loved him !! A GREAT PERSON that really cares !! <br /> I will be using him again next summer for another project we are now planning. I have recommended him since to some friends of mine, and they are just as pleased with their whole experience and with MARC TODD CONCRETE AND MARC TODD AS WELL. I recommend him 100% and I am a very "fussy" customer to please. <br />"
