"I had a leaky gas shut- off valve on the gas line to my fireplace . After getting a few estimates, where people were asking $90 for coming over and giving an estimate, I was fortunate to find Facilities Plumbing and talked to Robert, who agreed to come over and provide a free estimate. He arrived at the appointed time and put on shoe covers before entering the house. Since the valve is located behind the drywall, he explained that he would have to cut the drywall in order to access and look at the valve. He gave an estimate for this part. After cutting open the drywall, he tested the valve for the leak and showed me the leak. This valve is situated such that it would have taken a whole day to replace it and would have involved cutting more drywall and 4x2s. Robert suggested that he can try to fix the valve to which I gladly agreed. He did, and fixed the valve and made sure there was no more leak. The whole job took a little over an hour and I ended up saving lot of money and headache. In addition, the job is guaranteed for 4 years which is way more than industry average. I am so glad I found Facilities Plumbing. I would hire them for all my future plumbing work. Robert is very friendly, pleasant and competent plumber. I wholeheartedly recommend him."

"We sequentially hired two different handyfolk to fix our leaking washing machine. The second person successfully diagnosed that it was not a problem with the washing machine, but a clogged drain line. We evaluated several plumbers via Angi.com. Based on reviews we went with Jay, the owner of Precise Plumbing. Boy were we satisfied. The drain line was tied into a primary drain line, which was OK by code, but miserable in practice, as there is no way to snake it. Jay was able to figure out an efficient and elegant solution based on his years of experience. We now have a barely visible trap in our garage wall. All this was diagnosed and completed the same day the second handyperson came out. My wife is overjoyed with the washing machine functioning after several weeks of more and more frequent floods. "I had another company come out and they cabled my kitchen line. They couldn?t clear the line and immediately are telling me that I should replace the line because it is older. Called Drain Raider and Adam came out attempted to open drain also. The cable was not able to open the line and Adam ran his camera in the line. We immediately saw that there was a bunch of grease in the line. He then told me he could clean it out with hydro equipment. "Can not imagine a better response, starting with my call for assistance, response time and how the technician, Tad methodically diagnosed the problem. We have an obscure kitchen fixture that required service in Feb 2019. Under warranty the problem was easily diagnosed by me, a problem possibly caused by me and a replacement part sent and installed by Albert Nahman team. Problem: I broke the faucet cartridge. Current Problem: restricted hot water flow in this kitchen sink only. Turns out the new cartridge part is now malfunctioning. I called and Tad arrived taking a step by step approach ruling out possible causes: a clog here or there, build up of sediment, or blockage in the lines or cartridge. The company that sells the product got on the phone with Tad and they collaborated on the problem and the tech person gave Tad one more thing to try. After the collaboration it is agreed, problem persisted and therefore that new cartridge part is now malfunctioning and will be shipped free of charge in two days. Thanks to all, who made this possible and I trust we will have Tad here again soon to finalize this fix. BTW, cost of service was less than expected given going rates for such a call lasting in excess of one hour. Another comment, spending time with Tad during the repair was a pleasure to have him explain, collaborate, listen and just chat. Questions on who to call next time, no question who I will call next time. I have read criticism of costs: In the Berkeley area "How much does it cost to hire a plumber? Some plumbers have a minimum fee for a service call. They might charge anywhere from $175-250 to come out and give you a consultation. Plumbers may give you a general service rate of $128-148 per hour when there are a lot of unknowns about a project and they aren't sure how long it will take. Some charge a flat rate for their plumbing services. For example, you may get charged $175 for a sink or drain cleaning, while toilet installation costs $500." Today costs are upfront, same as charges in Feb, $69 to arrive and assess the problem. Here in excess of one hour for $129 minus $25 coupon, total charge $173. I am ok and I expected these costs. If I was in Philly, where I grew up, I could call an uncle or cousin and get a better rate, a family rate. This is going rate for our area."

They charged the going rate, which I find high, but determined that it was less than others who use plumbers a lot would expect. I'm new to plumbing needs - a knowledgeable and personable crew. I particularly appreciate that two people came, one who is learning. I enjoyed the cooperation and the chat between them."
