"Dylan and Matt saved us a few days ago. We have our house under contract to sell and had a home inspection scheduled in two hours. We were checking to make sure everything was in working order and turned on a shower that was never used in the four years we lived here. No water came out but we could hear it going into the wall and found it leaking out in the basement. After a frantic internet search, we found HomeAdvisor, sent out a search for an emergency plumber and had an answer and a phone call from Dylan within five minutes. They were at our house within the hour, diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes and suggested an immediate solution. An hour later, the burst pipe was fixed, the small hole in the wall patched and they explained the situation to the home inspector and buyer as they were leaving. Everyone was satisfied and the leak became a non-issue. Our home inspection was done without a problem. Very professional, prompt and friendly service. We would highly recommend Dylan and Matt and Streeter's Service 1st and have already told everyone we know about them. Paul and Jean S"

I've been an electrician for nearly 10 years and I'm an owner-operated company based out of Quakertown. There is no job too small for me. A handful of jobs I take care of are outlets, switches, lights, ceiling, bath, and attic fans, electric car chargers, underground electric for outbuildings, electrical panels, service upgrades, troubleshooting and more.

"About a year ago, I had a leak from my downstairs toilet. A plumbing company came out, said it just needed an extra seal and assured me that would fix the issue. I paid $475 and the leak did stop for a while. However, they never checked the basement or looked into anything else that could cause a long-term problem. A few months later, the leak came back. That’s when I called Robinson Plumbing and they sent out Julius and Gavin. These two were excellent. They didn’t just treat the symptom, they took the time to fully investigate the issue. They discovered that the toilet was sitting crooked and after checking further, found that the main drainpip in the basement was also misaligned. To fix it properly, they had to cut the drain and reinstall the PVC pipe so everything would sit correctly. They did a phenomenal job, and you can tell they truly care about doing things the right way, not just a quick fix. I highly recommend Robinson Plumbing, and especially Julius and Gavin. "

"I called Mr. Malozi to describe my issue and schedule an appointment. My outside faucet had been leaking when turned on. In addition, the faucet was not installed properly by a different contractor (the faucet was not fastened to the outside wall and about 2 inches of pipe was completely exposed). Mr. Malozi and another gentleman arrived at my home right on time. I noticed immediately that they were both professional, friendly, and courteous. They examined the faucet and described to me exactly what they were going to do. The work was done in about 30 minutes to my complete satisfaction. The workmanship and material were top quality. Mr. Malozi takes pride in his work and it is obvious. The price charged was exactly what was quoted to me. I believe the price was fair relative to the quality of the work. I am a stisfied customer and I will use Mr. Malozi again."

"It was a very busy period for natural gas conversions, with a list of about 200 pending jobs at the time. At first it was difficult to get hold of the person our job was assigned to, but I think eventually he managed to speed our job up a little (our oil tank had failed). It went fine from there. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Allentown, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
